Brandilyn weaves three amazing tales of a small town where people " Walk the Walk and show love and concern for each other. Yet she didn't build a fairy-tale town. These folks get angry, hold grudges, complicate their lives, keep secrets, gossip and grieve. The same people aren't perfect as only Jesus was perfect,but they pray, help each other, and hold each other accountable because the foundation of their lives is the Church and a love for God. Ms Collins brings characters from her other two books and ties them together with ribbons of love.This story is about Jesse and her love for friends, family, and some special men in her life. As with Jesse in Book ! and Celia in Book 2, the Bradleyville family helps them to grow and find God's path for their life..I've read most of Brandilyn Collin's books and she can weave a wonderful mystery, a little bit of comedy and some very sweet love stories.I'd give every one Five Stars!

Katherine, who used to live in that town, had a crush on the father, Bobby, so moved back into town to get to know him again, and possibly settle down and get married to him. She connected with the younger kids in the family, but Jackie rebelled. It shows how hard it is to accept someone else into the family and Jackie felt she would be displaced. However, she met and learned to love a famous singer, plus got very friendly with another boy.There were many ups and downs and I felt I was part of the family and tried to think what I would do in the same situation.This book was very interesting and I would recommend it to anyone.

Appreciated that faith in God and a daily walk of faith and prayer in interwoven in some of the main characters. sustained a few characters through the series as well as introducing new main characters. a good read.

She serves as Rabbi at the Congregation Beth El in Buenos Aires, Argentina. Francisco Canzani, PhD in Law and Social Sciences from the University of the Republic of Uruguay. He completed theological studies at the Institute Mystici Corporis (EoC Italy). Since 2004 he is the head of the Department of Ecumenism at the Theology Faculty of the Republic of Uruguay Monsignor Mariano Soler. Francisco is a consecrated member of the Focolare Movement.

Don't get me wrong and don't hate me for what I'm about to write By Alina Melinda So I think I'm one of the very few people who can't really wrap her head around why people are nuts over this book. Don't get me wrong and don't hate me for what I'm about to write. I'm not saying that it's a bad book or anything. It was ok. The writing was great I just didn't liked the plot and couldn't connect with the characters.Maybe it's just not my cup of tea . Don't take my words for it just read it and maybe you'll enjoy it more than I did.If you're not a very patient reader (like me) and you don't like reading 70% of the book just to discover that nothing exciting really happens, then more than probably this book is not for you. I was about to give up on it 4 times but I pushed myself because many people recommended it to me. I was thinking that if it has so many 5 stars ratings and good reviews ,then it must be something good. I waited for ....something 'wow' to happen ! Maybe I'm just blind and I'm missing the point of the book.Don't even get me started on the characters and on Alexandria's annoying switch between her three personas. I just...umm...sorry.Not for me.

Alex, a southern socialite, is having a relaxing vacay in California for a week before she begins graduate school. She meets a handsome stranger, Nox, and she agrees to spend the week in his bed - no strings attached, no last names, no contact after the week is over.Fast forward six weeks. Alex has been summoned home to Savannah for the weekend. Her mother and stepfather want to discuss her trust fund with her. But it's more of an ambush. It felt like we were in a different era with the arranged marriages and the women shouldn't work mentality. It was very controlling.Nevertheless, Alex was able to go to law school after all, one semester at least. Then she'll have to find a way to pay for it on her own. This is where the story took a turn I wasn't expecting. It felt like we were getting into a different book.I kept waiting for Nox to turn back up in Alex's life in some way and it's revealed how in the end. You'll have to continue the series to find out more. Which I discovered will be five books! No thank you. There's nothing original about this story. Plus sometimes I think Romig's characters are a bit uptight in regards to the way they speak. I get it when it was Tony Rawlings but the formality makes me yawn. I won't be continuing the series.

I saw all the 4 and 5 star reviews for this new release, so I promptly purchased this first installment in a 5 book series. I get that this first book is a set up for the future books, but I was bored to tears. For me this book just dragged. I kept waiting for something of interest to happen when all I got was inner monologue and endless descriptions of this and that....yet, still, nothing of interest happened. Maybe for others this was an except-able build up to the story, but it just failed to keep my interest. Alex/Charli(h) is a 23 year old graduate of Stanford. She has been excepted to Columbia Law School. That makes me assume she is one pretty clever/smart young lady. I was mistaken. Here are my issues....Possible Spoilers Ahead!!!! Read At Your Own Risk!!!!!Story/Plot....dragged, boring, predictable, and full of cliches. I saw the ending coming a mile away.Characters......predictable and cliched....over-the top evil Stepdad, weak Mother who does nothing to defend daughter from evil Stepdad, same BFF as any other novel with all the same conversations, token gorgeous gay male friend (cousin). Maybe the next installments will give more light and depth to these characters, but I did not feel it in this installment. Did I mention that every character is beautiful or extremely attractive? Well...surprise, surprise....they were/are.Contrived, and quite unbelievable, plot twist(s) which forces the female protagonist to be at the mercy of the H in every way. Thank god he's gorgeous, rich, and a god in the sack.Here's my main issue. The main character Alex/Charli(h) is supposed to be headed to Columbia Law School. Alex comes from a very wealthy Georgian family. She has a trust fund. She has used that trust fund to pay for her education. Evil stepdad informs her that she will not go to school at Columbia. No, she will stay in Georgia and marry because she must carry on the bloodline. What is this, the 1950's? Furthermore, her trust fund has been highjacked, or confiscated, so therefore she no longer has any funds. She is at the mercy of her stepdad and must do as she is told. Well, I had an issue with that. Why didn't the clever Stanford grad student and soon to be Columbia Law student challenge the confiscation of a trust fund she has had for years. There were millions in that fund. Why take her stepdad's word for why the trust fund was taken away from her? She hates and mistrusts that man. No, she just simply excepts the theft of her trust fund. Hmm...Maybe she should have hired a....um...what do you call them? Oh! Yeah! A lawyer! Yeah. Maybe this clever girl, who wants to be a lawyer, should have gotten herself one in order to challenge her evil stepdad. Ugh!My other issue? I will try not to give too much away here. I will just say that it is illegal for any contract to be legally binding if said contract states that one person is owned by another. A smart girl on her way to graduate school at Columbia Law should, and would, know this. Another ugh!This is a well written book. I just did not find it to be very original. So far, this story/plot has been done to death numerous times. Maybe as the story progresses I will feel more for both the characters and the plot line. Again, so far, I was just aggravated and bored. I cannot recommend or not recommend. This is the first book in a five book series. This is why I rated this book a 3 star rather than a 2 star. I have no idea where this series will go and I realize this book is a kind of intro to the future books and plot. I can say that this first installment did not pull me in. I do not feel compelled to read the next installment. Based on all the other 4 and 5 star reviews, I am the odd person out, so go ahead and give this first installment a shot. Just don't say I didn't warn ya.

1 of 1 people found the following review helpful. 3.5 stars By i blog 4 books I'm a big fan of Amy Matayo, so I was super excited to find out that she was invited to be part of this year's A Year of Weddings series! The story itself is interesting and unique. I mean, the thought of someone making a huge career for himself by stealing another person's—and a friend's no less!—lyrics had me intrigued. Throw in reconnecting with said friend and a bridezilla and I'm totally interested. All of the drama around the wedding totally stressed me out, but it made for a good story.I think the biggest challenge for me is the length of the story. Amy writes what many consider to be "edgier" stories, so they're full of snark and sarcasm and characters that aren't quite as easy to love as what you might normally find in a romance story. While this plays out nicely in a full-length story where readers have a chance to get to know the characters over a longer period of time and more fully understand their history (and therefore their snark), for me it didn't come off quite as well in such a short novella. I really felt like this was the beginning of a story that I wanted to read a lot more of. (Amy, if you happen to be reading this and ever decide to go back and revisit April and Jack, I'll definitely read that story!)I'm thoroughly happy to have read In Tune With Love, but I want more! If you've read anything by Amy before, you'll definitely enjoy this story. And if you haven't, well, give it a shot. I'm sure glad I did! I've been on this Year of Weddings train for quite a while now—I read and reviewed all of the novellas in the first year, and I've read and reviewed most of the novellas that have released so far in the second year. As a whole, I haven't enjoyed the second year's novellas nearly as much as the first ... until now.In Tune With Love is different from all the other stories in this series so far...different in a good way. It somehow seems grittier, edgier, more realistic than many romances. It's not that it crosses the line, but it's also not your typical inspy romance. It very much fits in with Matayo's other indy-released books The Wedding Game and Love Gone Wild (and probably Sway, but I haven't read that one yet).I really enjoyed April and Jack's story, which actually reminded me a bit of Nashville. (This is a very positive comparison, as I completely love that show!) I also appreciated how the story ended. I don't want to spoil anything, but it definitely maintained the "realness" vibe.Overall, I liked this novella a lot, and I'm looking forward to reading more of Matayo's writing! 4-1/2 stars.Disclosure of Material Connection: I received this book free from the publisher through the BookLook blogger program. 3 of 4 people found the following review helpful. Pass By Librarian Laura This book was hard to read. The characters are frustrating and show very little growth. I didn't like any of them. The plot would have worked better with a novel because I didn't understand April's actions at all.I also was a little disappointed with the lack of spiritual emphasis. I don't like books to "preach" to me, but I do expect Christian characters to mention God/have their lives reflect their salvation. Overall, I'm disappointed in this book.I received this book in exchange for my review. My thoughts are my own.
