Your Path to Freedom By Mark Holmes This book is a fascinating combination of experiencing what it’s like to walk the Camino de Santiago and also what it’s like to overcome personal loss and heartache. Ron describes his deep loss and through his walk with God and the Camino he attains freedom. This book is well written and Ron has a way of drawing you into his world. This book will help you along *your* path to freedom.

By Reba Red I am impressed by the depth of understanding and spiritual awareness presented in this account of walking the Camino. The Good Way gives valuable insight into hurt and loss, healing and relationships in a natural and effortless style. It is more than a story about walking 500 miles, it is an invitation to go deeper into your own heart. I enjoyed this book and I recommend it to anyone who is struggling with loss or disappointment. There are no spins or half-truths here, just an invitation to walk the good way.

By Cathy Smith I read the reviews and the back cover and it sounded like a familiar story, so I bought two copies. One for me and one for a friend. I began reading it the day it arrived at my door. By the end of the 3rd chapter, I knew my friend needed this book. I didn't want to put it down. The personal journey shared exposes the author to many vulnerable moments. I laughed with him sometimes and I cried at others. I truly felt I was right there experiencing it every step of the way. Although the circumstances of his are not the same as mine, the wounds left are all too familiar. His journey and the lessons learned along the way will give hope to anyone struggling to move forward after a hurtful experience. This is more than a book; it's a road map for life, the way Our Creator intended it. If you are not changed in some way by the end; then you just may need to dig deeper into your soul. I highly recommend The Good Way.

Great scholars are usually poor preachers, and great scholars are rarely good preachers, but Thielicke manages to combine distinguished scholarship with fine preaching.

By Tim Bayly Just a caution: if you like Lucado, you may appreciate Thielicke, but you'll have entered a whole different world where the heart is searched with a searing spotlight and the deep secrets of our hypocrisy and sin are exposed through the parables of Jesus as Thielicke leads us to repentance. Lucado and Thielicke are completely different. Here's a typical excerpt from Thielicke, on the parable in Luke 18:9-14:"Many of us are less like the Pharisee, with his uplifted head and his solid moral character, than we are like the publican--but a somewhat different publican from the one described in the parable. Perhaps like a publican who says, "I thank Thee, God, that I am not so proud as this Pharisee; I am an extortioner, unjust, and an adulterer. That's the way human beings are, and that's what I am, but at least I admit it, and therefore I am a little bit better than the rest of the breed. I commit fornication twice a week, and at most ten percent of what I own comes from honest work. I am an honest man, O God, because I don't kid myself, I don't have any illusions about myself. Let your angels sing a hallelujah over this one sinner who is as honest as I am, honest enough to admit that he is a dirty dog and not hide it beneath his robes like these lying Philistines the Pharisees.'"

Thielicke's sermons place the reader in the middle of the meaning of the parables and of life's journey. Thielicke was a pastor during World War II, and his sermons reflect the depth of his rich experience of what it means to be human and loved by God. If you enjoy Max Lucado, you will enjoy and be blessed by Thielicke.

Specter's characters are so well written that I could actually imagine they are real people you would come across in life. Their personalities so real.In this book, the werewolf packs hold Trials that span 30 days. The last 2 standing will be transitioned into wolves. Many humans come in hopes of being judged worthy of becoming one of 20 to compete.Isaac Ward is ex Special Forces. An ex comrade, who he partnered with, sponsors him for the Trials. As he walks out to banquet hall to be judged, his eyes are drawn to man with intense blue eyes and he finds it hard to look away. Something tells Ward that he's the Alpha.After all the Potentials are chosen there is a small banquet. After the meal everyone gathers to socialize and size up the Potentials. Th man that Ward saw earlier approaches him. He knows Ryan Weiss for sure that's he's the without having to be told. When they touch a very strong tingling jumps between them and Ryan tells him not to say a word to anyone and to meet him later. Since the Potentials get locked in the basement, it's difficult to get out but he manages to get out and meet him.Ryan proceeds to explain the facts about fated mates and although it's very rare for wolf's to mate with a human that's exactly what's happening with Ryan and Isaac. Isaac's never been with a man so he's ever much taken aback. Ryan understands and will give him Tim to figure it out and comes to terms with it.Meanwhile he's dealing with the Trials. Ryan also told him that since they are mates Ward can forego the Trials and be turned. Ward doesn't want that, he wants to prove himself worthy. Dealing with physical apart of the Trials is easy. Dealing with the other Potentials, is a pain. He tries to keep himself isolated and not engage in making friends. Their is Maya who won't leave his side to be friends even though he does nothing to encourage and blows her off. Then there's Caleb, who for no reason, gives him a hard time from the first night.After a confession from Maya the first night, he's reminded of the bad memories of his past and needs to see Ryan. He turns to Ryan for comfort and he ends up having his first sexual experience with a ma but doesn't regret it.So the rest goes like this: Isaac finds out he's pregnant, he still wants to compete. He's gaining weight quickly even though they aren't fed enough. A rival Alpha, who wants to take over Ryan's territory, uses Isaac as leverage. This where all the action and suspense starts and I'm not gonna spoil it.I was on the edge of my seat. Suffice it to say, I really recommend this. If your into this subject you most certainly be disappointed.

With the excitement of a bootcamp competition that feels like the Hunger Games and the additional sizzle of a secret romance, this book moves at a steady pace. The mystery of the pregnancy and looming threat of those who would use the knowledge of it for gain creates an air of tension. I really liked that we saw everything from Issac's POV since we had a gay-for-you angle. The way that played out was really believable and even the pregnancy felt realistic (with the usual suspension of disbelief). It felt like a longer, fuller story than the page count would lead you to believe. It was unusual to see an omega who was "all man" instead of the tiny, twinky character that we usually see. All in all, a lot to recommend this one!

And i dont kmow how a pregnant guy attempting to keep to such a strict workout schedule can still carry on with such strenous trials. still, ive seen worse writing, there weren't many typos, and the dialogue flowed well.

Gloriously Delightful...a MUST read By Amazon Customer This book has catapulted itself to my top five read recommendations to all of my friends.I read this book in a day because it was so dang awesome, I couldn't put it down.You know those books that you read where halfway through you realize that you haven't stopped smiling since Chapter 1? That is Roommates!It was clever, funny, witty, deep, feeling, sexy, and everything I look for in a great book.You have a man-whore, cocky hockey player...and a cool and down-to-earth wholesome girl who's chemistry is off the freaking charts!All the characters are lovable and fun and flawed in a way that you totally understand and believe.The cover is light and frothy and intriguing and that's totally what this book is. But the character development and the story ARC are so spot on that it becomes an all-consuming MUST read.Highly recommend this book and I am SO excited to see that Sami & Mattie are getting a story.Erin Leigh...Tara Brown.......meet your next stalker girl crush.....me. ;)

I think that all writers want and hope that their work is received well. Feedback good or bad should always be welcome. That said, I hate the idea of leaving anything less than a great review.This is the first book that I've read by this author. Its a very easy read, and I will not rule out reading future works by Ms. Leigh. With that there were just a few things that felt missing to me in this book. **Possible spoilers** I am the mother of an only child so I understand being overprotective. But when your child is 23 years old is telling them "No they can't move into the city and live with their best friend" really an option any longer? Secondly the best friend - Sami comes across as sort of Paris Hilton / Nicole Ritchie type. A famous rich girl who as you read seems to be famous just because she comes from money. While I don't have a problem with that type of character, what I don't understand is how everyone knew that Sami and Natalie (h) were best friends. There is no real mention of how it become such public knowledge. But when the h starts a new job in a new city - everyone at her place of business is fully aware of who her best friend is. As for the H Brady I really wanted to like him, but his sexual antics were a bit annoying. I struggle with a romance where the leading H is having sex with partners outside of h. In this case Brady does at least twice. His expression of giving his girls "the Clinto" became annoying after the first time. So while I was able to finish this book cover to cover there were a few holes in it for me.

By A Customer I hate to be critical and don't usually leave bad reviews, but I read this based on good reviews and I'm just so confused by that. It's nonsensical, crass, poorly written, full of plot holes, lacking any character development and full of eye-roll inducing moments. And the love scenes were cringeworthy.

Devin’s desire to take care of Callie and the baby gave Callie the chance to let go of the reins a little.While Devin’s family was near-perfect, his heart had been shattered at a young age and he was unwilling to risk it again. He’d lived his life with little attachment, but his attraction to Callie had him all tied up in knots. Then a baby was added to the mix, and Devin didn’t know how to handle himself. With the help of his family, he was able to let go of his fears and open his heart once again, letting in his love for not only his baby, but Callie too.The secondary characters were an enjoyable addition. The relationship between Callie and her two best friends was natural and fun to watch. I loved seeing them share ice cream over boy-talk or arguing over what Callie should do.This book was truly engaging and kept me reading page after page. Mostly lighthearted, there was just enough drama to make things interesting. I would definitely recommend it and look forward to reading more by Ms. Logan.

By Cynthia Bloggs Songbird is the newest novel out by Sydney Logan and it's just as wonderful as the rest of Sydney's work.Callie is a reserved, up-and-coming journalist. Devin is the non-committal king. On the eve of her best friends' wedding, Callie allows herself to be swept away by Devin. Expecting a one night stand, Callie is thrown off guard when Devin turns out to be the cousin of the groom. Their one-night stand was hotter than both of them ever anticipated and quickly develops into another night spent together.The repercussions of their weekend frolicking rock them both to the core. What follows is intense, beautiful, tragic and magical.This ain't yo mama's romance novel! Sydney Logan is a master at crafting characters that are believable and go against the typical "wilting flower" stereotype. Callie doesn't let Devin bulldoze her in any aspect of her life. On the flip side, Devin learns when to push and when to pull and eventually the two find a flow that really works for them. The character decisions are honest - at no point did I do the DING DING DING PLOT POINT that I tend to find in romance.I truly love this novel. Beautiful cover, beautiful characters, beautiful job Sydney Logan.

Wonderfully romantic love story By Sally This charming, heartwarming story surrounds Callie, an aspiring journalist, and Devin, an up and coming attorney. They meet one late evening at a hotel bar, unbeknown to each other that they are both there to participate in the same wedding. Both have issues with relationships that stem from their pasts—Callie’s from a mother who was not the best role model, and Devin’s from a family tragedy. Devin relegates his encounters with women just to “hook-ups​,” and Callie tries to bury herself in her career, thinking she must strive for accomplishments over relationships. Neither expects the spark that ignites with their initial “casual” connection.This story is about these two wonderful characters navigating their way to move past what happened when they were younger and find a common future together. Sydney Logan is a master at creating characters you can immediately fall in love with, root for, sometimes yell at, and, in the end, celebrate their accomplishments. From the very first chapter, I was hooked on Callie and Devin. Their trials and tribulations are totally believable. As the Skin Horse from “The Velveteen Rabbit” said, “When you are real you don’t mind being hurt.” These characters are real.This story has something for everyone: there is the central romance, but there is also drama, a little angst, and lots of humor. And, if you want a little something to help you get into this story, go to YouTube, search for this book title and listen to the Christine McVie/Fleetwood Mac version or, my favorite, the Eva Cassidy version.

She writes about the grace she has witnessed through the impact of mental illness and Alzheimer’s on her family, as well as the joy and humor of ordinary days. She lives in East Texas with her husband and their schnauzer, Angus. They have two daughters and four grandsons.

Tim Keller has said that Jesus Christ didn't suffer so we wouldn't suffer; He suffered so that when we suffer we become like him. Dorothy and Byron open their hearts and souls so others may see that process in action. They model receiving hope and laughter in the struggles of life especially in the arena of mental illness. Glimpses of Grace is a homespun, precious gift for any looking for such practical treasure.

Their Faith is such a testimony. This book deals with their struggles with Byron's diagnosis, but also deals with day to day trials and tribulations. A must read for inspiration and hope and also to share with others. Purchase several and give as gifts!

Facing the Future with Faith and Hope By John Ingle I have known Dorothy and Byron Horne for over 10 years, and Dorothy's book has provided insights into their struggles with Alzheimer's that are not only revealing, but also inspirational. I highly recommend it for families even if they are not facing Alzheimer's!

I like casseroles and I like the fact that there are so many options to make. I just need an interactive table of content, and a list of what kind of casseroles are in the book. With a kindle book, to find out what is in the book, I literaaly have to turn page by page, then bookmark the recipe if I want to revisit it. This is too much work for what was meant to be fast and easy.

I wish I could cook this all someday, but for now I will choose one to cook this 365 recipes that this book contains. Really mouth watering and yummy, even if I'am just reading the ingredients and the instruction I am very excited and hungry at the same time. There are lot of choices you can get from this book and no worries for the instruction because its really easy to follow and has a clear step by step. Hot & Spicy Sauge Casserole is one of my favorite here. I cannot wait to cook this for our meal in my family.

Heminger Love following the House of Ten, only disappointment is his pace, churn out some more Keith and quicker! He makes you feel like you are really there in the Pit of Sunjan. A wonderful author, an engaging cast of characters and all the action you could hope for!

I hope Mr. Blackmore can take some time off from his horror & zombie novels (also excellent) to keep moving ahead on this fantasy series. The editing of spelling and grammar in the earlier Blackmore books is a bit uneven but I can assure you that it steadily improves as you move ahead. I'm a big fan of indie authors, so these days I just read right past that stuff. What I'm shopping for is a great story teller, I don't care if there's a big time publisher in the background or not. If the spelling & grammar team misses a "your" that should be a "you're" I can cope just fine. You'll find compelling and well-developed characters in this series, some likeable, others not so much. In all it's a good balance of action scenes and background intrigue that keeps you wanting to know what happens next and turning the pages to get there.

Great Story By c grif If you are new to the 131 Days and are deciding if you want to read them, I suggest buy all that have been written now and start with book 1. Great series, the characters stay true, great suspense, and a very vivid, brutal world.I have not read many stories based around warriors fighting in the gladiator's pit. These stories seem to be accurate. They paint a grim picture of how difficult life would have been and how cheap life was valued. This is done with very likable heroes who face steep challenges and pay a hefty price.It is very refreshing knowing that any book Keith Blackmore writes only adds and improves an already great series. Thank you for another great story and I look forward to the next book. Please get to typing or we shall send you to the Pit!

Donaldson In Men in Hiding, Jon Krug derives his concept from Genesis 3:1-12, the story of The Fall or Original Sin. Specifically relating to Adam, he defines the three-fold hiding actions of Adam: hiding identity (covering nakedness), hiding presence (behind trees in the Garden) and hiding from responsibility (blaming Eve). Jon maintains that each and every one of us practices those hiding actions in our own lives. Further, that until we confront and abandon those hiding actions, we cannot maintain successful relationships with the other people in our lives, or with God. The book sounds just like Jon talking and is highly recommended.

Barbara and Dave’s love endured fifty-plus years until death ultimately separated them. This intriguing saga starts with Barbara’s early life in an American missionary family in Japan, an emotionally detached relationship with her father, and limited experiences living in the U.S when she returned for college. It describes her struggles to find trust, loyalty and friendship among men, courtship with a basketball star, marriage, infidelity, divorce, reconciliation, a business relationship, remarriage and children, cancer and more. I felt that Barbara was an enabler that allowed Dave to pursue his religion-based zeal to the extent that he withdrew from the relationship as it had been before. Barbara’s decision to seek out a less mundane life was pivotal in changing the course of their lives forever. In my humble opinion, Dave’s behavior was an echo of her father in earlier years.In summary, Echoes in Eternity is a powerful love story. It is fascinating to see how Christian love permeated their lifestyles and wrapped itself around the lives of many people, including Barbara’s husband and their two children. I highly recommend this riveting book that shows God’s intervention to help them all confront the challenges of a most complicated life.

By grant godfrey Most of the time when i read it is to put me to sleep, which generally occurs about 3 lines into a paragraph. In Barbara Jennings book, Echos In Eternity, it was an entirely different story. From the moment i picked it up i was riveted. Every time i read the book it would wake me up! I would be so engaged in the book that a chapter would fly by and i would have to force myself to put it down because i had to get some sleep! I would look forward to reading it during the day, and i couldn't wait to get to it! It was one of the best books i have read in years and i want more from this author! It was such a touching, heart warming and inspiring story. Everyone who has ever had someone close to them will be impacted by this evocative adventure in deep relationship. I wish everyone would to themselves and the ones they love a huge favor by reading this book! You would be so grateful you did as it will move you to appreciate those closest to you!

Echoes in Eternity is a gift, a treasure ~ a True Story of Eternal Love and Friendship By Lori Levasheff True humility, transparent honesty, and amazing grace emanate from the pages of this personal story. I am fortunate to have known this book's central character as well as the talented and gracious author. It was hard to put down, only to pick it up the second time to finish one man's earthly journey, and the a woman's genuine selflessness and wise insights. It is a story of profound love that crosses human barriers and exceeds human ability to love and forgive.I was reminded fresh and anew the power of giving oneself away and in seizing the moment. One author writes, ".....We have only this moment, sparkling like a star in our hand ~ and melting like a snowflake." From personal experience, I know this to be true.If you do not yet know and understand that relationships with others are the only real treasures in life, please give yourself the gift of this story of eternal love and friendship.
