About the Author Fran Roberts teaches 7th and 8th grade language arts in Mississippi. She has loved writing since she was a young child, and is pursuing an Education Specialist degree, Language Arts, at the University of South Alabama. She has been a student of the Bible for thirty years, and is a member of First Baptist Tillman's Corner. She has taught Sunday school for many years and sings in the choir. She has a husband, one son, two daughters, five dogs and a cat. She published two nonfiction short stories: "Porcupine Love" in an anthology "From the Heart: Stories of Love and Friendship", Kendall Bell, Ed. (2006); and "His Neighbor's Keeper" in "A Cup of Comfort for a Better World", Colleen Sell, Ed. (2010); and several poems, but this is her first devotional. She is a former member of Mobile Bay Writing Project, and a current member of the Gulf Coast Writer's Association and Alabama Writer's Guild.

The Most Powerful Boom By Deborah Crocker This is the most powerful book I have read in the last two years, except for the Bible.Fran Roberts gets right to the heart. I cried reading this book and praying the prayers. I felt that Fran knew exactly where I have been.I highly recommend this book to anyone that loves one with any addiction.This is a book I will keep to read over and over again. Ms. Roberts has walked exactly where I have walked. This book is real.

Since I have not had the experience with people in my own family who have had addictions, her book helped open my eyes to how people in that situation are feeling.both spiritually and emotionally.I think I can better minister to families where addictions threaten to destroy because I got a glimpse into her prayer life.
