It outlines all the benefits and more importantly it tells you exactly how it works. Very helpful if you're on the ketogenic or low carb diet. Five stars!

Great information as a general overview, but I guess I was just expecting some more details on the best kinds of coffee to use, more studies and factual evidence supporting the authors claims. Still worth reading for the price and for getting started drinking butter coffee.

By DD Gott I have been looking for answer to my weight problems for years not that I have tons of it but I've always wanted to lose some and feel better. This book opened my eyes to a lot of factors that I was completely unaware of. In addition to my weight questions this book brought up two other problems that I have struggled with for many years and that is IBS and migraines.Not one doctor that I have seen has ever told me that these could be helped with a change in my foods. I am encouraged as to how much this could help stop these. I've never heard of this diet but after reading this book I'm certainly going to give it a good try and see if it will help anyone of my problems. Just one would be wonderful.If you have questions about this diet I can tell you that this book certainly spells it out in plain English so you can understand how and why it would work. I highly recommend this book to all adults.

4 of 4 people found the following review helpful. Bent Not Broken By Julie McCleary "It takes a strong man to handle a broken woman"I found the story of Malik & Delaney captivating. It's Malik's love for Delaney that caught my attention and drove me onwards to keep reading.The emotion in this story was thrilling. Obviously some people like other parts of a story, action, sex etc. But for me it's how well an author can portray a character's emotion. And for me Suki Sather was able to capture that perfectly.

Bent Not Broken By Christy D I was given an ARC of this book in exchange for an honest review.I was so lost in the first part of this book it was tough to keep going. However I did and eventually it all makes sense.I gave 4 stars because i like something drawing me in from the beginning not struggling trying to figure stuff out and loosing interest. Overall it a good read. It was a nice mix of romance, action and mystery.

A fantastic story of family love and loss By MISS C L INGRAM This turbulent story follows the lives of Delaney and her "guardian" Malik.Delaney thought she was battling depression and slowly losing it with dreams about a guardian angel who she senses while awake, memory loss and a broken heart she can't explain. When she finally learns the truth she is thrown head first into a world of amalgamates stryders and several other beings. Half of which want her deadThe story starts out really confusing but once it gets into it things start making more sense including what was happening in the first few chapters.The author masterfully weaves the story of Delaney and Malik using emotive language and fantastic imagery in a way that I can really see this playing out in my mind and think it would work excellently on film.I think being a film would help with the confusion in the story as well as there are so many names I found myself getting confused about who was who, there is also a lot of information bombarding you that I think this book would require a re read to fully grasp the lore the story tellsThe story is told in 3rd person with directed POVs and first person thought trails which helps the reader see into the minds of the characters, these are also written in a different font which helps clearly seperate it from the story and really delves you into the mind and feelings of the characters. The main issue I had was that the POV would switch and the story would jump from past to present with no warning that I often found myself confused about what was going on and it would take me a couple of sentences to figure out what was happening which took away from the story as instead of enjoying the story i was busy trying to piece together whose POV we were seeing and when the scene was taking place.I love the authors fearlessness at tackling emotional scenes and subsequently the book has no fear in ripping out your heart stomping all over it and shoving it back into your chest so you will be forever changed by the journey of the book with not so much as an apology in sight.I cannot wait till the next book, the story doesn't end on a cliffhanger but it is clear the story is far from over and I can't wait to delve back into Delaney's world

The characters become very real to you and even though this was a very short little book, it was still very satisfying. I spend one Saturday evening a month with young girls who live in a group home, and even though this home does not have "house parents", I hope that they too, will look lovingly at the care they received while they were there. This story personifies the healing and restoration that are Christmas.

By Val Slow cooking when I lived up north was a fall through spring practice that allowed me to start a meal in the morning and come home to a house that smelled great and a filling, ready to eat meal. In the south I learned that slow cooking is a spring through fall thing, with crockpots sitting out in caged lania’s and spring rooms so that the house didn’t fill with heat. Slow cook meals were savory, fall off the bone treats that could be used and reused as staple meals that were affordable, healthy and satisfying. For that reason I am always on the lookout for more recipes. Jen McCormick’s book Slow Cooker Recipes In Just 30 Minutes has you covered North and South. Italian Pot Roast is the perfect family meal on a cool day, while the Salsa Chicken recipe is great for a spring or summer meal. Great recipes and great opportunities to cook easy to make meal that will taste like you spent hours in the kitchen when you only spent minutes!

Slow cooker recipes oh my By Dennis An organised selection of slow cooked meal plans that tempt the pallet.Jen McKormick has laid out a compelling series of meals that are not only quick to put together but also easy.This book is best for the person on the go, slow cooker set and forget.If you liked "Sheet Pan Suppers" by Molly Gilbert or "Paleo Slow Cooker" by Meghan White, then you'll like this book. Simple.Love the pictures and the outline.This looks great if you are a person on the go. My Samsung S-4 pulls it up clearly.Hope this helps.

3 of 3 people found the following review helpful. Tried 2 recipes so far, quite tasty... By Blaine Moore I've made two dishes from this book so far, and both were quite good. The jumbalaya came first, and I probably won't make it again for a while as it uses many different meats and getting them when they aren't on sale makes it a bit pricy to produce, but it tasted very good. Reheat value was okay, but not nearly as good as the first time. The beef stew, on the other hand, tasted great the first time and even better reheated a few days later. I'll definitely be making that one again, and soon.

Juliette has the ability to write so that the characters come alive quickly and are easily remembered. You never have to stop and wonder, "Who is this?" in these stories. The story is told without a lot of descriptions and fill-in so that the plot moves along quickly, too. I would recommend these books to anyone who enjoys a mystery without all of the sex and violence, and a well-written story.

I honestly didn't see it coming! I was sad to get to the end of book 6 because I have to leave the characters behind now until book 7 is released.

This title specifically had four such stories, but there are other titles. The stories themselves are imaginative and well written. In total the book goes by pretty quickly, but its a good read for an evening in or a sleepless night. The second and third stories are the best in my opinion, but the first story starts off strong so altogether the reading flows regardless of the fact that the stories are independent of one another. I recommend it as a quick read for those who like horror stories, and I'll definitely be checking out the other titles by this author.

Fairly quickly, you understand the main characters and feel their emotions. This book draws you in and keeps you riveted until you know the conclusion of the tale. Excellent read!

Ellie knows what it's like. She grew up in a family where her larger than life brother became terminally ill. There's the conflict of feeling for the sick and dying sibling and the yearning to be able to lead a normal life yourself. There's the conflict between jealous and profound grief at the loss of our brother or sister. Then there's that desire to be seen as a person in your own right, something that Ellie has rarely experienced.Ellie's brother Buck was seriously ill and died while a teenager. Before his death he was larger than life, everybody's friend, and best friends with nerdy Josiah Whitaker. An unlikely pair, Buck taught Josiah roping and cowboy skills in return for Josiah's help with his studies. Fast forward and we find Ellie working in housekeeping at the Bar V5 where billionaire Josiah has been sent for a month while he recovers from illness, however this is not the Josiah Ellie remembers. The ugly duckling has well and truly turned into a swan and Ellie is smitten.This was a lovely story to read. I enjoy Melissa McGlone's warm and comfortable style. It was also good to get back to the Bar V5 and catch up with some of the characters from earlier stories set there. The other winner for me is the picturesque town of Marietta in winter with it's Christmas Stroll and other charming customs. All in all, this book has delivered a gorgeous few hours of pleasant escapism.

1 of 1 people found the following review helpful. Will love conquer all? By Sarah Ellie is set in her mind to have the best Christmas ever and to have fun doing it by bringing cheer to everyone else. She has things that has happened in the past but she is ready to not allow that to cloud her future. She is ready to enjoy showing the new guest Josiah that Christmas is the best time of the year and its not as bad as he thinks. Josiah is being forced to take a vacation or he will loose his job, and he is not happy about that. When the board of his company sends him home he knows that he will fight the process every step of the way and he is going to start with fighting the christmas decorations that are everywhere and bands them from his room. He just never expected running into Ellie his friends little sister and the elf of Christmas. This story is really such a cute Christmas story it really draws you and keeps you there and enjoying the christmas spirit. Sometimes Christmas brings miracles and magic and that is present in the book. The loss of someone special can really break people and in this story is shows that not everything bad can brake people but things can happen when everyone comes together. Family by blood or by choose is something else that shines in this book. 1 of 1 people found the following review helpful. Likable Characters and a Cause to Rally Behind By PSusan I expected a sweet but interesting read by Melissa McClone. A Christmas Homecoming provides exactly that. There were some parts that I really liked including the characters Josiah and Ellie. Ellie’s life story is a reminder of what the entire family goes through when a child/sibling is fighting cancer. Ellie could have grown up bitter and resentful but instead she is kind and caring. Josiah is the opposite while not a horrible person, he left Montana so that he could put himself and his company first. While recovering from a serious illness he finds his better self. I really liked that he wanted to help Ellie.The descriptive writing made me see and feel the walk they took on a clear morning. Also I loved the visits with the kids from Buck’s Place especially the trip to the Winter Wonderland. However, I must admit at other times the pace was slow, then the opposite happened at the ending, it felt rushed. I don’t feel that Josiah would have really made such a turnaround in only one day away from Ellie. It would have been a more realistic ending if he had gone back home before he made his life changes. For that reason I would drop one half star off of the rating bringing it to a 3.5 stars.The publisher through Net Galley provided a copy.

There's photos for every recipe though not always of the finished product. The recipes are very simple to make, nothing complicated, fancy, or too time consuming, except for some yeast bread recipes. This has mostly sweets/dessert recipes with only a few biscuit and yeast bread categories. I would have liked more cookie recipes.Only five out of twelve recipes that I've made are ones I wouldn't make again. There are so many more that I plan to try in the future. The two-cheese vegetable quiche recipe alone is worth more than the price of the book, as well as the chocolate cake recipe. The biscuits were the most disappointing.THINGS I'VE MADE: TWO-CHEESE VEGETABLE QUICHE, HERBED CHEESE AND BACON BISCUITS, CHOCOLATE CAKE, CHOCOLATE CHIP-OATMEAL CAKE, SUGAR COOKIE CUTOUTS, STREUSEL COFFEE CAKE, CHOCOLATE PECAN PIE, WHITE CAKE, CHERRY COBBLER, CRANBERRY POUND CAKE, DESSERT OVEN PANCAKE, CHUNKY PATH BROWNIES.I received this from the publisher in exchange for an honest review.

By bluemoon_547 If you already own Anyone Can Bake: Step-By-Step Recipes Just For You (Better Homes and Gardens) Hardcover Spiral, published in 2009, then you don't need this book. http://www.amazon.com/Anyone-Can-Bake-Step---Step/dp/047050059X/ref=sr_1_15?s=books&ie=UTF8&qid=1440772435&sr=1-15&keywords=better+homes+and+gardens+baking It is an exact duplicate, except for the difference in binder format. If you click on Look Inside for each book you can compare the table of contents and see it is exactly the same. That seems very underhanded of Better Homes and Gardens to not mention that fact when they came out with this book. I was all prepared to buy this book when I decided to check and see if it is the same as Anyone Can Bake which I already have, since part of the title was so similar. Good thing I caught this, and I don't want to see others get stuck with a book they already have. As far as the review, I gave it four stars because I didn't know how to rate it since I am not reviewing the recipes here. I can't speak for Anyone Can Bake since I haven't made any recipes from it yet.

The tension and consequences for miscommunication between the characters cause twists in the plot line that are much more believable and not as predictable as some fiction tends to lean. Having it in paperback and being able to hold the book in my hands versus a Kindle device is a treat.

I was drawn into the story from the very beginning. This book is so well written. The story definitely takes some unexpected turns; I just couldn't put the book down! God's grace, love & forgiveness are woven throughout the book! I highly recommend this book! I believe that you will love it also!

By Alan S I found this to be a very unique book - the idea of using mason jars for meals intrigued me. The idea of portion control was a very good one and can be easily done by following the instructions in this book. I found the peach parfait to be as good as the name and I can't wait to try the chicken pot pie, which is a meal I love anyway and I am sure I will love this version. Thanks, Molly for a great cookbook!

The recipes range from traditional chili and pizza to Asian steak dinner. What I also liked, was that at the back of the book there are some additional sections containing tips for when you follow a low carb diet. Here, you can find some meal and snack tips and tips for eating out. I thought that was a nice bonus!

This book gives you so many excellent low carb recipes that can help you to look and feel much better. I learned so many new recipes from this book and it helped me to look better. I enjoyed preparing those meals because they are really easy, and above all, they are excellently explained.
