From the Author In 1996 the Lord opened the door for me to present the wonderful message of the return of our Bridegroom for His awaiting bride at Ray Brubaker's famous international prophecy conference. Sharing the same stage with some of the leading prophecy teachers and scholars of our time was both daunting and humbling at the same time. My book table was adjacent to the well-known Tim LaHaye, who had just begun his popular Left Behind series that has since sold over 65 million copies. His message has captivated the church with the fascinating tale that a profession of faith in Christ is all that is needed to prepare one for the Rapture when the Lord comes for His own. While coming to know Christ as Savior is absolutely important, there are many admonitions given to believers to "watch" and "be ready" for our Lord's coming. The Apostle John reminds us in 1Jo 3:2-3: "... when He shall appear, we shall be like Him; for we shall see Him as He is. And every man that hath this hope in Him, purify himself, even as He is pure." During the Philadelphian church age, great light was given to men of God who properly expounded the necessity for believers to sanctify their lives in order to be properly prepared when Jesus returns. Their teachings fostered the call to holiness for believers to be ready. Since that time, the Laodicean church age has emerged and almost all of the proponents of the coming separation (Mat 25:1-13) have gone to be with the Lord. This time of lukewarm Christianity was predicted by the Apostle Paul: "For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears; And they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables." (2 Ti 4:3-4) The lethargy in our modern church culture has blinded many from hearing the Word of God. The true message in the book of Revelation has been severely tainted by the desire of the church to be entertained rather than being taught and educated through diligent study and meditation of its contents. God has recently been attempting to alert America in both song and the written word. The recent song by Casting Crowns entitled, While You Were Sleeping, contains chilling lyrics, which may represent a prophetic warning to all of us concerning the near-term future. Jonathan Cahn's Harbinger and his latest work, Mystery of the Shemitah, could also represent prophetic warnings to a nation that was once greatly used to uphold the Word of God. Readers who are familiar with his descriptions of America's demise will find strikingly parallel warnings in the Apostle John's predictions outlined in this book. The book of Revelation holds vital ingredients that are necessary for the spiritual diet of believers living in these last days. Believers interested in their spiritual welfare need to ask the Holy Spirit to help them as they study the essential message in this final book of God's Word. The book of Revelation does hold the secret of America's future, the future of the world and the reader's future, as well. The message contained in this book may represent one final cry from the Lord to awaken His church while there is still time. It is my ardent prayer that the reader will truly understand the magnificent future God has in store for all the faithful believers who have ears to hear what the Spirit is saying to the churches in these final days of the Church age. The call from God's very own heart is for believers to be genuine overcomers. The cry from my heart is for the Church to awaken to the incredible and awesome opportunity the very God of this universe is offering to all those believers who can hear the Spirit crying out in this final book of God's word. My prayer is that this book will help shed some of the many traditions that have obscured the vital message that Jesus Christ will be returning very soon - seeking out those faithful believers who really do love Him and whose only desire is to please Him and be ready for him when He returns. Remember, the Spirit and the bride are beckoning for the Lord to come (Rev 22:17). Incredible blessings await all those who answer the call to be the overcomer He is calling us to be. The message in this book is so very important for all believers living in these last days before Jesus returns.
About the Author Jim Harman has been a Christian for 37 years. He has diligently studied the Word of God with an emphasis on Prophecy. Jim has written several books including: The Kingdom, The Coming Spiritual Earthquake and Overcomers Guide to the Kingdom which are widely distributed around the world. Jim's professional experience included being a CPA and CPM with an extensive background in both public accounting and financial management with several well known national firms.
