Antonia Amorsolo I really enjoyed the simplicity yet effectiveness of the ideas in this book. I have always thought that all ready meals are unhealthy and not as appetizing. Anything that will save me time in terms of cooking gets me excited. I've recently gotten into this idea of freezer meals. If I can do one month's worth of cooking in a day then I'm in! I thought this book had a lot of interesting, tasty looking recipes that I'm eager to try. Very helpful for me and my family as we are always on the go and don't have time for during the week .We can save the fancy stuff for the weekend when all we do is watch TV, relax and have time for 3 course meals. This is a great go-to resource book for favorite recipes. With a little bit of organization, the time saving realized by using freezer foods is well worth the effort.

This is one of the best cookbooks out there! My wife and I are now looking to prepare more meals at home and eat out less. I love the pictures of the food in this book, I don't eat meat (beef, pork, chicken...etc) but the pictures had my mouth watering! This book have clear and easy to understand ingredients and instructions, you can tell; the author is a professional cook! I appreciated the vegetarian dishes.This book has something for everyone, I highly recommend it and really enjoyed reading it!

Missing ingredients & disappointing By Anon-e-mouse Right off the bat several recipes mention ingredients in the directions that aren't in the list of ingredients. How would the reader know how much to use when it just says add this item? The recipes are "full lead" and not healthy, but there was no suggestion alluding to this. Just a mere observation. I'm sure the recipes can be tweaked which would include cooking times and temps. One particular recipe surprised me for its missing ingredient mentioned once again in the directions that shouldn't really be made in cast iron and that's the lasagna. Tomatoes and other acidic foods can corrode your pan as well as greatly increase the levels of iron leaching into your food so it'd be better to cook them in a glass pan. It's for these reasons (ingredient list & acidic foods) that I give it only one star.

The recipes in this cookbook make it easy as well as good. The chicken and wild rice is fantastic as is the Italian chicken and noodles. As for the cornbread I always cook it in a cast iron skillet. Anna believes that she will be soon marrying a man she has been acquainted with but her heart is broken and instead she goes to Chicago to be a lady’s maid for an older cousin. An advert for mail order brides takes her to Great Bend, Kansas, but disappointments are still in her future. A scruffy cowboy, Dale Mason and a lawyer help her find overnight lodging and a gentle reminder to seek God in all you do and allow him to lead. The Lord does miraculous things when we work with Him. The story has great moral and spiritual lessons of seeking God first when making life decisions. Also, not to judge a person by their looks or circumstances. She is devastated when the man she thought was going to marry is engaged to another. Because she knows Josie is happy in her marriage, Anna decides she will become a mail order bride also. But when she arrives in Kansas, no one meets her at the station. Fortunately, a stranger comes to her rescue. Dale tells her to get down on her knees and talk to God about her problems and Anna replies that she has shut Him out. I love Dale's answer. "Well, let Him in."I loved this story and I think you will, too.

Her sister Josie became a mail order bride and moved to Kansas and she was very happy and now she was a mother of a son. She left New York for Kansas to marry Andrew Wendell,who is to meet her at the station. She sees a well dressed man and a cowboy who is dressed in muddy clothes and the two of them are talking. They knew Andrew an the cowboy Dale Mason tells her that he seen Andrew at the station and he saw her and left. The story is really good and you will enjoy it.

The Storms are great addition.Initially I didn't favor Ashton too much that soon changed.Loved this story it's witty, humorous and oh so romantic.I love the way Melody writes - very descriptive and great story!GREAT standalone story.

Ashton Storm was exactly like the rest of the Anderson-Storm family, especially the men. They always start out so wrapped up in themselves and their little piece of the world. But, a woman comes along to melt the heart and the man. That's what happens when Savannah walks into his life. She turns him upside down in more ways than one, risking her heart and future at the same time. I wanted them to work it out no matter how the odds were stacked against them. There were so many times, I felt my heart clench at the thought of the two of them running into another obstacle to their happiness.Though you know, even from the beginning, who is going to end up together at the end...though there are moments when the writing is a little cliché...though you know, those old Anderson-Storm codgers are NEVER wrong, even when you know...Melody Anne never makes it easy. It's never a straight line from the meet and greet to the wedding. There are bumps in the road and curves you never would have expected. Even when you know how the story will turn out, she makes the ride fun, romantic and exciting, wrought with difficulties and tears, and the ending as happy as you wish for any billionaire fairy tale. This was one of those. Thank you, Melody Anne, for another wonderful love story. I hope, we don't have to wait too long before finding out how Lance finds his happily ever after. And, I'm excited to see what kind of trouble those old coots can dig up in Montana!

By INDYread What a wonderful installment to the Anderson (lost Anderson) series.Ashton Storm had fought his father's deal five years ago, but finally he gave in and took a small boating company and made it into a multi-billion dollar corporation. This was quite a feat when Ashton was probably the biggest playboy and averse to working.Ashton's father, as a one of the triplets, Richard Storm has turned out to be a great match-maker. Richard was talking with his brothers, our beloved Joseph and George (triplets) explaining his concern that Ashton has worked so hard for four years but has turned into a hardnosed robot that his father hardly recognized. Richard explained that he had failed in his match-making abilities for Ashton. He had met, what he thought was the perfect women for him 2 years ago, Savannah Mills. However, Savannah never called for the job interview to work for Ashton’s company. So, the brothers decided to give it another try and plotted on how to get Ms. Mills to Ashton’s company.Since, Ashton did not know what real love was and he had sealed off his heart and not giving that to anyone, he was engaged to the "perfect" pedigreed gold digger (Kalli) who was just a cold as Ashton. But, he thought that he didn't have to love her, but with Kalli's pedigree would produce the perfect children for his legacy.One day Ashton finds Savannah Mills on his private docks to start her job. She could only work this summer before she started her Doctorate program. Things did not get off to a good start. Ashton would go from being nice to being a SOB. After a while, Savvy felt she needed to avoid him at all cost.When Ashton decided that he had to have her and he need to end his engagement, Savvy thought that since she had “no” experience with men, Ashton would be disappointed.But, don’t think that Ms. Kalli was giving up that easy. No she has several tricks up her sleeves that would break Savvy and Ashton apart and caused her to walk away.This is a wonderful love story that you don’t want to miss. Find out if Savvy and Ashton gets a chance to a HEA. You won’t regret it.

An insightful and practical exploration of God's call to a life of worship By Zach Brenner Worship is so central to the message of the Bible, yet if you ask 20 different people what worship is, you will probably get 20 different answers. Wayne does a great job in creating a Biblically-informed definition of worship that is simple and repeatable. He takes us to the 30,000 foot view of the grander, "Bigger" vision of the call to worship. But he doesn't just leave us there. The second part of the book brings us back down to the ground and teaches us how to apply this Bigger vision of worship in our everyday lives - as we gather together on a weekly basis, and as we scatter and live out the rest of our lives. This is a great book for anyone to read, not just church leaders. As Wayne points out in this book, everyone has room to grow in their understanding of worship - we will never be done exploring the depths of God's call to a life of worship.

A New Classic By Eric Douglass Wayne does a fantastic job of distinguishing the difference between gathered (corporate) and scattered (personal/all-of-life) worship, but goes one step further and articulates how gathered and scattered worship interact and actually fuel each other. He doesn’t stop there though. He actually goes on to explain and give examples of what all-of-life worship looks like, as well as addresses tough questions like who gets to decide how we do things in our gathered time? This book also isn’t written primarily for those in music leadership, but for all believers. His engaging, conversational writing style makes it easy to understand, yet focuses on the heart matters of worship.I think Bigger could become a “classic” read for worship. Make sure to put it at the top of your worship reading list!

I had no idea that it went into the famous Kings Randsom blend popular so many years ago and now produces both a single malt and a peated single malt scotch. Also some great detail on the ties to Frank Costello and the American mafia!

6 of 6 people found the following review helpful. Another Great Story !! By Kiki1965 Ruth Price is quickly becoming one of my favorite authors. Her books are entertaining, her characters are lovely people and I learn more about the Amish ways with each book. Amish Friendship Bread is no exception. It is a story of young men and women coming moving into adulthood and finding their soul mates and as always there is a twist. Sarah and Jebediah are fond of each other and want to begin courting. Always the gentleman and in keeping with the Amish ways Jebediah visits Sarah's father and makes arrangements to visit Sarah's home in order to assist her father with some repairs. Openly asking to court someone is not proper but visiting for other reasons - and subsequently courting one other at the same time is proper. And as per usual there is always a third person wanting to interfere. Waneta believes that she and Jebediah should be courting and is continually trying to get in between the young couple. I don't want to ruin the rest of the story for others so I will leave it at that. I was also very to glad see that the author has included the recipe for Amish Friendship Bread at the end of the book and I am looking forward to trying this recipe and sharing the batter with my friends.

Great story By Lynn Bryan If you want to learn more about the Amish ways and if you want a story with many twists, then Amish Friendship Bread is just right for you. This is about young people growing up and looking for their soulmates, but of course, there is always someone who wants to interfere. The relationship between the the two sisters Fannie and Waneta was very interesting and compelling - great story overall.

This is true that we all should take a better look on what we eat these days. As it goes: You Are What You Eat. This book is good beginning to start choosing your food more consciously. Most of the recipes are easy and quick to prepare. Each recipe is supported with detailed information how to prepare it and attractive pictures. The book might be useful for people who are looking for Gluten Free and Dairy Free way of living.

It has some really great recipes in it By Thomas Lorendo I use my Crockpot all the time, especially during the summer time when its too warm to cook in the house. I got this and was not disappointed. It has some really great recipes in it. Easy to do put together and fun to eat!!!! They are even good then next day for your lunch.If you ran out of your own ideas and need some new ones, I would highly suggest this book!

It just so happens that for this past Christmas, I received a crockpot so this book came in real handy with the sumptuous recipes inside. Lauren Manning has always been the jealous type, but this time, it’s way over the top…trying to run them down in a parking lot…throwing an empty glass bottle at them…the purchase of the Smith and Wesson 38. And those dreams! Like the one where Lauren discovers them in a bar—the same bar that Stella and Shane had been in the day before—and shoots them to death with a Smith and Wesson 38. I might have some trouble sleeping for the next week or so but I guess that is why I love a good book like this.

About the Author Clodagh McKenna studied in France and New York and trained and worked at Ballymaloe. She has two restaurants, in Blackrock and Dublin, and writes a monthly column for The Gloss. She is a familiar face on TV in Ireland (Fresh from the Farmers' Market) and the UK (Market Kitchen, Saturday Kitchen, Rick Stein's Food Heroes), and recently made her US television debut with Clodagh's Irish Food Trails. This is her fifth book.

As soon as I saw her make the Bailey's Irish Soda Bread Ice Cream and the Guinness Cake, I knew that this is a book that I would use over and over again. I'm already planning to have friends over for an Irish Breakfast and a sophisticated Irish dinner party. Her modern twist on Irish classics are genius!

4 of 4 people found the following review helpful. awesome By Felicia Gardner Loved it. It had a lot of practical anyone could do recipes as well as a few more complex ones. The food in it is delisious. I especially love the soda bread, and the last section about making and jarring your own jams.

I also saw Clodagh on the Rachel Ray Show and the Soda Bread Ice Cream and the the Guinness Cake had me at hello! The book has great recipes, is colorful and really brings the feel of Ireland to life. Modern cooks are transforming Irish fare and Clodagh is the perfect example. My Mom and both sets of grandparents were born in Ireland so I grew up with this type of cooking. Get this book, you won't regret it!
