About the Author Scott Huckaby became a Christian upon discovering that Bible prophecy made sense of the perplexing end of the Cold War in 1991. He has been an adult Bible study teacher at Southern Baptist and nondenominational churches since 1994 and a supply preacher in the San Felipe and Big Bend Baptist Associations. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in electrical engineering from the University of Cincinnati, was a U.S. Army officer and worked 27 years as a Product Marketing Engineer at Texas Instruments. Opening your third eye requires spiritual aspect in your life and and mindfulness in surroundings.Essentially, it is important to know first if you want and ready to open your third eye. For example, when you have a hunch and act on it, you’ve used your third eye. But that’s only the beginning. Your third eye is a sense, one you can develop to be more refined and accurate than just being a hunch. It is a natural part of every person. It is a very clever bit of natural evolution that allows you to see the patterns in your life. Even more amazing, your third eye can reveal these patterns to you by overlaying this information on top of your other senses. This book is really like a straight forward guide giving you ways and example's of how the third eye activation will help you see other dimensions. By Randy This book gave me a little scare in its statement that once you open the third eye, the process is irreversible. The concept I have to admit was scary to me, but as I read on to learn that the side effects are very positive, it makes me look at this in a new way. I have to admit that anything that I'm told is irreversible causes me anxiety. But the prospect of being able to use the third eye and recognize my intuition as a real and positive statement of the truth around me, excites me and lets me look forward to the possibilities. The exercises seem quite simple, and I'm shocked about the affirmation that one can open their third eye in such a short time. We shall see. If anything, the meditations techniques given are really good.

Ma was the glue that held this family together and as her four sons have settled down with families and the possibility of more on the way, she's realizing that she has needs of her own.The family doctor or Doc has realized this too and he seems sweet on her but has to convince her it's time to get on with her life now and Ma's not one to be so easily swayed. There just so happens to be a big surprise in store for Ma when the family attends Church. A couple of surprises in fact.I love this series. All the stories have been sweet and thoughtful. I listened to them out of order but would recommend listening in order. They'll make more of a connection as Ma has been doing what mother's do in the background and now she's in the forefront. I sure hope that SUSETTE WILLIAMS continues the series.ALLYSON VOLLER has been the first female narrator for the series thus far and I enjoyed her performance. Jenny, better known to everyone as Ma, has finally seen all four of her sons married. Raising them on her own for the past twelve years, running a ranch and now patiently waiting for the arrival of grandchildren. It’s not easy feeling like you are all alone in a house full of people. She is known for meddling in other people’s business but don’t let anyone meddle back. Thaddeus is the Doctor for House Springs and to everyone he is just known as Doc. He has eyes for Jenny and she for him, but she shies away when he makes it known he cares for her. Sometimes in life, nearly losing something or someone you love is a wake-up call. Will Doc and Ma find their HEA ending like her sons have? This story kept me captivated with heartwarming dialog and characters. Susette quickly grabbed my interest in telling the story of Ma and Doc. Both widowers and older, but still deserving a chance to love again. Ma is that strong woman that everyone probably looked up to. She raised her four sons after her husband passed, and now helps their families when she can. Doc lost his wife tragically and decided to be once a doctor so he could help others. It is very clear from the first time they meet in this story that they both have feelings for each other. I enjoyed reading about them coming together and finally realizing that maybe they aren't too old to get a second chance at love.

My two grandsons finished reading this and really got caught up in the story. One grandson is reading impaired and he was actually able to read this and follow the story. Wonderful book. I will certainly recommend it to my friends for reading to their children.

Interesting read with some questionable conclusions By Brad Anderson Nathan Anderson, in his provocatively-titled book The Myths of Hell, challenges assumptions common within evangelical Christianity regarding the topics of hell, Satan, and the destiny of the wicked. The book seeks to answer several compelling questions: What is hell? Where is hell? Who is in charge of hell? Who resides in hell? Is hell currently operational? The author supports his conclusions from Scripture, honestly explores associated issues, and comes to some rather unorthodox conclusions. The book is written in a casual, conversational tone and moves rapidly from one topic to the next. It is not a rigorous theological treatise, but more the fruit of a personal exploration of the topics involved. The book is set out in a logical format, first considering traditional assumptions about hell, then delving into Scripture to consider what it actually says, starting in the Old Testament and moving through the New Testament. The author discusses Satan, Sheol, biblical concepts of judgment and punishment, external influences on the topic, Hades, Gehenna, the Abyss, and related topics. Throughout the book, the author updates a running “resume” describing what the Bible says about Satan. Anderson finishes by “busting” several common myths about hell. The book concludes with an appendix in which the author answers several questions that naturally arise from his assertions.While admitting that the book presents some compelling and challenging ideas contradicting commonly held beliefs about Satan and hell, this reviewer must confess that the book did little to change his views on the subject. Anderson’s conclusions crumble if his interpretation of Jesus’ parable of the Rich Man and Lazarus (Luke 16) is erroneous. If, as Anderson alleges, that parable has virtually nothing to say about the condition of the dead, his conclusions may stand. But if Jesus’ parable actually approximates what happens to people when they die, then the author’s conclusions cannot hold up.The author admits that some of his conclusions are tentative. He lays out optional interpretations, chooses the one he favors, but leaves the door open for other interpretations. He readily admits his uncertainty, for example, regarding the state of the dead between death and resurrection, both for Christians and for unbelievers. In any case, he assures his readers that Paradise awaits Christians and severe punishment awaits those who reject Christ and the Gospel. I concur with the author that the only means of avoiding the wrath of God is to accept Jesus as one’s Lord and Savior. I commend him for retaining these commitments. However, I cannot accept the author’s assertion that the wicked do not face torment immediately upon death or that they may have no existence after their death (yet will be resurrected for final judgment, an “option” I find irrational). I found a few other problematic statements sprinkled throughout the book, but none of them affect the book’s general argument.The book is a thought-provoking read that many may find enlightening. Others, like me, will enjoy the journey yet not be persuaded to abdicate the common orthodoxy regarding hell or the state of the wicked dead.

Hell Isn't What You Think It Is By Jeremiah Mitchell What I didn't like about this book:The author uses a lot of bulleted and numbered lists as well as things like writing Satan's resume to communicate his thoughts. As a reader, I found these things jarring and disruptive of the flow of thought. If I'm reading a book composed primarily of sentences and paragraphs, then I'd like to keep reading those throughout the book and not have the flow disrupted by outlines and resumes. I very much suspect that some readers, perhaps most, will find the lists and outlines helpful for their understanding. I simply didn't.I also think that the information in the appendix would have fit in with the rest of the book well and should have been included in a chapter or had its own chapter. The information is something readers would both be interested in and would benefit. I hope that readers do choose to go on past the end of the book and read the appendix.What I liked about this book:The contemporary view of hell, even in churches, rarely comes from Scripture. Most people, even Christians, think that the images they have of hell, a place of everlasting fiery torment where Satan reigns and tortures sinners' souls when they die, are somewhere in the Bible. Those images are simply not Biblical. The author argues for a view of hell based on Scripture and not on Dante or medieval murals or pagan mythology.I would like to tell you a lot of details about the many things I enjoyed about this book, but then I would be giving away most of the book. I think the author dealt with the rich man and lazarus story well, which is one of the only stories in Scripture that could complicate his conclusions. I particularly appreciated how thoroughly the author explained different aspects of hell, relying on a glut of evidence of Scripture to form his conclusions and not putting too much weight on a verse or two. The author presents his interpretation of hell with understanding, knowledge, and humility.Who should read this book:Anyone who wants a more Biblical view of hell should read this book. Anyone who is interested in learning more about where Satan reigns, what happens when we die, or when people will experience hell should read this book.

He methodically reviews what the Bible says about hell without letting it get mundane and boring. He carefully exposes our misconceptions of what hell is about. It's funny how often we absorb ideas from culture that have no basis in scripture. But best of all his view puts God at the center of the discussion, pulling the plug on the myth that Satan is in control of hell. I also like his approach...non-dogmatic. He lets the reader know that these are his ideas but we are free to believe what we choose. It's a good read that will help you clarify your thoughts on an important topic.

I've heard about coffee butter but have not delved into the subject personally, but after reading this book I'm definitely going to give it a try. Many recipes in the book but I started with the namesake and it creates a very rich cup of coffee. Using our magic bullet it's very easy and much healthier than the usual creamer and sugar I was using. I didn't know that putting butter in your coffee will help to shed those unwanted pounds. I really like how the author states how butter coffee works and the benefits of drinking butter coffee. I like how the author gives us a chapter explaining what is butter coffee. I like how there are a few recipes included including hot butter coffee and iced butter coffee. This was a well written and well organized book. The author did a great job.

Publishing annually is of course a dire necessity in view of the relentless tide of changes constantly emerging within the civil justice system.In this 800th anniversary year of Magna Carta, ‘what,’ asks General Editor Graeme Smith, ‘would King John and the barons have made of today’s civil justice system?’ If there’s an answer to that, it would probably be that they’d need “The Brown Book”. Well, actually, the barons would. King John was most probably illiterate.This new edition reflects the latest amendments to the CPR, which indicate its continuing state of change. I was completely engrossed in the story during a layover in Dallas, as suddenly I heard my name being called over the speaker system. My plane was ready to depart without me! I managed to board the plane, by the skin of my teeth, the very last passenger on! I had been living in the fantasy world created by Mr. Taylor, oblivious to the real one around me. I lost my chance for a window seat with the "A" boarding pass I possessed, but never minded, as I finished the book very contentedly in the one seat left on the plane - a middle one.Looking forward to Book 2, but might be more careful where I read it....

It is a beautiful allegory about a heroine's spiritual journey as she becomes aware of a gifting that is far more portent than she would have ever imagined. A gifting that will catapult her into her destiny and into the arms of a man she weeks before would never have seen herself with. It was easy to get into and from there I couldn't put it down…I had my iPad in one hand and my three month old crooked in my other arm. Can't wait for the second one to come out!If you like fantasy, C.S. Lewis or "The Shack" you will like this book. I would love to see all these beautiful creatures and scenery in a movie!
