Easy Connect The Dots Book By Joanie When Alex falls for David, the football star, it was a push-pull type of relationship with Alex unsure if David was using her or if he actually loved her. I believe that these stories could have been so much better if the author had written more detail and expanded the personalities of the main characters. The author “tells” us the story rather than “shows” us. The stories read more like a summary or an outline for a longer tale. For example, the author “told” us that the girls had a great relationship and that they were roommates for three years, all in one sentence. Yet, I only recall reading several actual conversations between them. When a woman shows up with what was believed to be David’s baby, that was only explored for a few paragraphs. If the purpose of these stories were for the erotica part of it and not detail, plot or character building, then the author hit it spot on. There are pages and pages of erotica. So, if you are a fan of erotica and detailed sex scenes, there's lots to read. If not, then there are lots of pages to skip and you’ll be done within an hour. If you are someone looking for a story with fine details about sex, then this is for you. Other than that, unfortunately there is not much more going on here. However, that said, if you do like the sound of the above description, then this three book combo is the way to go. Books 1 and 2 have cliff-hangers which are not popular with most readers so reading all three completes the story.

Hill While the technical writing side of this story may be a bit lacking, the story idea is good and told in an interesting way with pretty steamy romantic scenes. Being from Tennessee myself I found the story being set there a nice touch. I've never read anything by this author before but it was a pleasant read.

Thomas By the look of it, The Anchor is an romance book that seems to have been split into segments, that's one way to hook the readers and get them following the storyline. It can also been seen as a bit of a cop out, with the story ending on a cliffhanger, forcing you to have to wait and purchase the next entry to find out what happens next. It all depends on your viewpoint to it all and willingness to follow the series.In my opinion, a story like this is certainly worth purchasing the 3 segments for. I've thoroughly enjoyed Part 1, and I like forward to reading through 2 and 3 and seeing how this saga concludes.The writing style is short but sweet, it has enough to get the heart racing and it isn't too long winded that the paragraphs go on and on. It has the right balance to make it a powerful and swift read.Highly recommended for fans of the romance genre.

But as I went along and read the interesting plot I looked past that and really enjoyed the story. Book 2 in the Dawson Ranch Series.The characters Ryelee and Rheenie stood out the most with supporting characters Jimmy, Annie and Burke. I liked the originality of Ryelee's name, fit the character perfectly. Also liked the book cover it draws you in so that you want to read the story.Truly dissapointed in Clint the cowboy in the story. The man was right in assessing himself; to use his own words "He does not understand women" and made poor choices in his believes and delivery of his love for Ryelee. At first I really liked him but as time went on it diminished and I truly thought he was lacking as man and husband. At times he just did not had the back bone for the hero in the story. He mainly stood out as father protecting his little girl the only true quality I liked, and his dedication to the horse program.The plot was interesting as we learn about Ryelee and her past. and present problems. A father who had no problems selling her to get out of his own debt. Shoot the man is what I would do. Friends of the father who were only interested in one thing and did not care how they execute it to get their way.At times sickening of the depth's humans can go to hurt a fellow human being.But at the end Ryelee's strong spirit and willfulness to have a better life won her more than she could ever hoped for. Her loving care and warm heart touch you so that you really just want to give her a hug.A good read to all who love a good Western Romance story.

Ryelee's cowboy By Lisa Tompkins I have read Rylee's cowboy (loved it) I went through every emotions one could. happiness, fear, angry, scared, frightened, cried, laughed got excited (blush)where was the hubby when reading this? lol this book was awesome i can't wait for the 4th book of Kathleen Ball's she is a great writer she makes those us that don't like to read WANT to read!!! they are books you can't just put down anytime cause the second your free you pick it back up again and read it. I highly recommend these books of Kathleens as a Must read!

At firs I could not get over how immature Ryelee was. Always having to be rescued by Clint. As I continued to read the story, I learned why. Ryelees hurtful past all by the hand of someone who was to protect her. Ryelee is a great female lead, who strives to move beyond her past hurt. She falls for Clint but not all is well when her father returns. We learn everything is not always what it seems when it comes to Clint. This book took me on a ride. I experienced every emotion reading it, anger, hurt , happiness and love. Go grab it.

3 of 3 people found the following review helpful. A good story line. By Kat's Reading Space Willow Falls is a well written book with well developed characters. The story line is good with enough suspense to keep it interesting. My only dissatisfaction is the over worn usage of religion and christianity. This book can stand alone on its character and writing without the over used religious angle.....often times less is actually more. I was discouraged to see that christianity/religion was used as an excuse for a father to severely beat his daughter, a husband to hurl the words slut and whore to his wife and have a reverend help turn a whole town's back on a young man for standing up to protect his friends. Then the spineless man Tom lies to the town to protect his cowardliness. Not my idea of what real christianity looks like. If it had to be in the book it could have been portrayed as what christianity/religion should be about. This left a bad taste in my mouth and thoughts. Otherwise a very good book.

1 of 1 people found the following review helpful. Could be Better By Could be Better Willow Falls is, in essence, a good book. I am both a born again christian and am author myself so I am able to sympathise with the struggle that goes on to write a good western... that's still solidly based in Christianity. I found Willow Falls to be unfortunately devoted to unrealistic christian characters, and bearing a story line much to complex and controversial to come out as the author intended originally, meaning as a novel about the final forgiveness and redemption of a Christian gun-slinging legend. I won't spoil the story for everyone but there are a few scenes, or at least one major one, that force Matt Bannister to be either a complete failure of a relatable character, or else a Kenneth Pratt remake of Jesus Christ. And besides that, there is some language to consider as well. But then again its not as bad as it could be and by far better than some westerns I've read. Even so, to add one last thing which really ruined the book for me... our hero is in tears rather frequently... Portrayed as a 'law man of the century' I really can't understand how Bannister ever received such a reputation! I mean let's face it, while most women might and do, men don't usually cry during stressful or sad situations! At least not ones who make their living by killing! Cut the overly excessive preaching and our hero's tears and I guarantee Willow Falls would be an alright read.

2 of 2 people found the following review helpful. Banister Returns By BILLY This is a fine Western from Pratt. It contains some Biblical teaching which is unusual for a novel with some very violent situations. Well written and fast paced. I will be reading more from this author.

He's also the guardian of his 5 yr. old niece so with his farm, school and that, he's more than busy. One day, out of the blue, Stevie Flowers shows up on his farm! She's a famous singer now but back in their high school days, he used to tutor her in science. Why is she here? He can tell something is wrong but he's not going to push. She wants to stay a couple days. What follows is a sweet story of a woman trying to find something real in her life when she's been living a fake, glitzy, glamour life. She had a traumatic experience and goes back to her roots to regain her balance. She knows Jake can help her with that. Jake on the other hand has a lot of balls that he's juggling. He wants to help Stevie but he doesn't want to fall for her - he knows she's going to be leaving his farm and going back to her famous life. But, he can't help getting sucked into the sweet girl he once asked out so many years ago........ I loved this great story!

This story about two people, Stevie and Jake who meet again after many years. Friends in high school, Stevie takes off in music and becomes famous, while Jake has a much different position and is a single professor who is essentially the acting father of his niece.Their meeting is of course, followed by gossip by the locals as they are seen together. Will some of the feelings of their younger years rekindle or will their different lives take it's toll?I really enjoyed this sweet story and it left me wanting to read more of this author's works.I received a free ebook from this author for my honest review, which I have given.
