A disciplined investigative journalist with a keen sense of moral outrage kept at a useful simmer. His previous book Paradise Lost uncovered a major political theft that won him a beating so bad that he had to learn how to talk again. This, his new book on the campaign for death with dignity, tackles another highly charged subject with intelligence and tact. Buy it. Read it. Support Richard Trainor.

As an eye witness to Booth Gardner's courageous campaign for a Death-with-Dignity bill in Washington he couldn't be a better person to tell the Governors poignant personal story. And with a dozen or more similar bills before as many state legislatures the timing of this book couldn't be better. It's a must read for anyone who cares about their own or their loved ones endgame.
