3 of 3 people found the following review helpful. Short but powerful! By Young at heart, Deb I don't usually read novellas but I do love this author so I thought I'd give it a try. I had no idea what the book was about, but knew it would frighten me....it did not disappoint!! This is not your typical zombie novel and I am not sure if zombie is quite the word I would use to describe the "monsters". I hope there is more like this coming soon as I liked the change of pace and I loved that I was actually frightened by the situation this couple was placed in!! I really can't go into detail since each reader needs to get wowed by each turn of events. Again, it is only 83 pages but it doesn't skimp on the details.
2 of 2 people found the following review helpful. This didn't seem like a short story By Teddy Bears Need Luv 2 Not a fan of short stories, but bought this anyway because I loved Adrift and Sundown. It didn't read like a short. Very satisfying. Lots of stomach-gripping suspense that didn't stop until the end. I was surprised to discover this is a Wildfire Novella...Griffiths' other series that I haven't read yet...but will now. Like his version on vampires in Adrift...his version of zombies (wait...were they zombies?) is very different from what I usually see.

The first few chapters were excellent and riveting.
