Interview With The Author What kind of stories do you enjoy writing? My favorites are Clean Romance short stories, especially Mail Order Bride. I love writing historical Western romance novellas and short stories. I also write a cozy mystery or two. They are such fun! Your books often contain an element of faith as well as clean romance and love. Is that important to you as a writer? Yes, my faith is important to me, and as an author clean Christian western romance is my heart passion. I love being able to tell a story, be it an American mail order brides series, a Mail Order bride and babies tale, or a historical western romance novella, and at the same time bring a positive message of hope, faith and love to uplift readers. Are all of your stories Clean reads? Yes, every story I write is clean and wholesome, and I find that language and sex free Mail Order Bride books are just as good as those that include such things. I don't think that offensive elements are necessary to tell a great story, and I always ensure that I write great Christian Western romance free of anything that might compromise my readers in any way. The main thing for me is always the story, and the characters. A great plot is what makes a story worth reading. Where do your brides and their stories come from? Mail Order Brides of the west, east or sometimes even foreign brides jump into my imagination every day, each telling their own special story! I have mail order brides of Texas, New York, even Liverpool, England. So many places, so many tales to tell. I get an idea for a book or a series and when I begin to write the stories often take on a life all of their own. Just like my readers, I am often on the edge of my seat eagerly waiting to find out what will happen next! I even have a few Mail Order Husbands cooking. :) What would you like to say to your readers? Just two short words. Thank you! I think many authors take their readers for granted, but without you there would be no stories. A story only really comes alive in the hand of a reader. My readers are the reason I write, the reason I can tell my tales. Without them, well, there would be no story to tell. Every email I receive, every review that is left - every one of them means so much to me. Why should a new reader pick up one of your books? Mercy and Cecil's story By Amazon Customer Mercy has fallen in love with Cecil, but she refuses to marry him until after she experiences Paris and continues her art career. She promises Cecil that she'll always love him and will come back to him. Time has a way of making one forget promises and Mercy starts to fall in love with a French dandy. However, when Mercy refuses his advances he assaults her. Her art mentor has taught her how to take care of herself so she is able to disable the jerk and get away. She goes back to Boston and then her mother tells her that she has arranged a marriage between Mercy and the rich son of an acquaintance. Mercy refuses and packs up her things and heads back to Cheyenne, Wyoming to stay with her sister. Grace is happy to see Mercy and welcomes her to stay with her and Thomas, Grace's husband. Mercy then gets unexpected news: Cecil is getting married to someone else in a few hours. Will Mercy and Cecil be able to rekindle their romance or will two lives be separated forever?

Mercy found that life in Paris wasn’t the answer. She learned a hard lesson in trust and faithfulness. The plot had lots of trying moments that kept the pages turning. I found the dialog to be heartwarming, open and honest. Arranged marriages without love only lead to heartache. Cecil realized that marrying someone who wasn’t a Christian was a mistake. No matter where you go, or what you do, you must follow your heart and marry someone you truly love if you want to have the HEA ending Disclosure; I received an e-copy of this book in exchange for an honest review. SHE FINALLY CAME TO REALISE SHE WANTED TO SPEND HER LIFE WITH HER MAN By Dorothy Hendrickson Mercy found the life in Paris did not make her happy, but she did learn how to defend herself by her mentor. She was almost taken in by a slick ladies man who was married. He tried to attack her but she put him down and decided to go home. Her mother tried to fix her up with a rich man's son and that was all she wrote. She packed up and left for Wyoming. She happened to go to Grace and Thomas's house and it happened to be the day Cecil was getting married. She knew he was the only man she would ever love. You need to read this story to see what happens to Mercy.
