About the Author Dianna Torscher Benson is a 2011 Genesis winner, a 2011 Genesis double semi-finalist, a 2010 Daphne finalist, and a 2007 Golden Palm finalist. In this story Persephone is a sailboat that will be used by Keegan to escape from Grand Cayman. He is using Sara as both a shield and a hostage as he simply does not want to go to jail on the island. If anything can go wrong it will and it simply does not look good for Sara. Danger, mayhem and thrills all figure into this highly complicated plot. Anger,resentment, overwhelming fear, letting go, forgiveness and faith are all explored as the plot unfolds. “Persephone’s Fugitive” is loaded with twists and turns and red herrings that will leave you guessing all the while you are flipping pages to find out what happens next. Ms. Benson has provided us with a fairly exciting book. Can you imagine going through this twice? Sara has previously been the victim of a horrendous episode and now she is at the mercy of a fugitive who knows no boundaries. Drugs. Murder. Kidnapping. Fleeing. All these are the stuff Sara's horror encompasses.After being taken hostage while in the very act of helping as an EMT, Sara finds herself aboard the Persephone sailboat afloat somewhere in the Caribbean. As this madman waves his weapon she is bound with ropes and tape as past horrors seep from the depths of her mind.Packed with action as law enforcers from Grand Cayman plunge into the mind and method of this madman seeking to find and rescue Sara. Compelling storyline and emotional whirlwind By Babbling Becky L The ultimate actor, in the ultimate resort area, has lived and perpetuated a lie for over 20 years. Now that his drug appetite has gotten the best of him, can cunning, cruel, crazy Jason Keegan escape not only capture but also his son's censure?Transporting an injured catatonic patient turns out to be SO much more than former cop and current medic Sara Dyer could ever have imagined. Sara has already survived one lunatic who kidnapped her...can she survive another with her faith in God intact?Benson adroitly illustrates the confused, paranoid, reckless, nothing-to-lose mindset of a person addicted to mind-altering drugs. The emotions of this character and each of the other main players is realistic, tension-building, and compelling.Anger,resentment, overwhelming fear, letting go, forgiveness and faith are all tied into this heart-racing story. Discussions of faith seemed to slow the story down a bit near the end. However,it should be noted that if one is hiding out ,there probably ARE times to talk while one is anxiously awaiting fate!! Such unusual situations that each character faces, all with different amounts of faith or rejection thereof. So relatable!!Since this is book two in the Cayman Island Trilogy, I will be picking up book one and looking forward to book three.
