Add More Flavor and Spice to Your Life with These Great Quick to Prepare Recipes By Stephanie The book provides some awesome mug recipes that are easy to prepareand absolutely delicious and mouth watering to taste. The best part is thetime factor, that you can prepare most of these quickly. The ingredients aswell seem to be easily available. Most of the recipes are easy to make anddo not require any cooking expertise. Its a book for the common people tomake their dull moments exciting and add more flavor to them !
3 of 4 people found the following review helpful. Substandard By Amazon Customer 50 recipes "for Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner & Dessert." At least that's what it says. Technically, it is correct, but... it is essentially a dessert book. There are only 4 breakfast recipes, 5 lunch/dinner recipes, a recipe for mac & cheese, and one for banana bread mixed in with the breakfast food. Banana bread is a dessert in my family due to the sugar content. Recipes 12 through 50, aka 78% are desserts. 80% desserts if you count the banana bread.The editing is poor: missing words and misuse. Non standard cooking terms. Never in 40 years of cooking have I come across the terms "jagged" and "almost unchanged." Most ridiculous is the fact the author never bothers to mention what size of mug, nor the number of servings/cups when the recipes is to be divided. The cover picture even shows different styles with clearly different volume capacities.The ingredient list for "Mexican Street Corn in a Mug or in the cob recipe" she lists "Mexican white corn". "On the cob" should added to the end of that line. Second, the title should be entirely capitalized and "in the cob" make no grammatical sense to me. Third, I married into a Mexican-American, Spanish speaking family and in 25 years have never seen them use "Mexican" white corn, nor have I seen "Mexican" white corn in the Latin/Mexican grocery. To the best of my knowledge "Mexican" is not an actual variety of white corn (I've only seen abuela only cook with regular yellow corn anyway). Also street vendors and stores that sell this style of corn are generally using yellow corn. This is of course, in my neck-of-the-woods, which has a huge Mexican-American population, maybe they primarily use white corn in your area. Sending people off to look for "special" ingredients that aren't special is... "special," but not in a good way.

Just recently, we thought of making some simple yet delicious dishes that we can experiment on. It’s great that we found this book in Amazon! The recipes in the book are very easy to prepare but at the same time very flexible in terms mixing and matching other ingredients to create new versions of the recipe. I personally love the brownies…. It’s simple and very straight forward recipe. My only critique with the book is that the recipes were mostly desserts and only limited number of recipes available for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Also, it would have been nice if the author included some illustrations or pictures to give the book a bit of life”. Nevertheless, the book is great!
