By Mama Mary I'm pretty good when it comes to oven and stovetop cooking and even grilling, but when it comes to things like a pressure cooker, I need help. I feel like I was completely misled by this cookbook and it sure seems deliberate. When it says in the description "today's pressure cooker" and fails to say "today's stovetop pressure cooker" that sure seems mighty deliberate deception to me because I think it's safe to say that "today's" pressure cooker is considered the electronic ones and not a stovetop pressure cooker, so be warned... THIS IS A COOKBOOK FOR A STOVE TOP PRESSURE COOKER, not an electronic pressure cooker. There is one tiny corner of one page with 5 tips for adjusting are some instructions for adapting the recipes for an "electric" pressure cooker, but it sure doesn't make me feel confident using their recipes with their timing for my electronic cooker. I'd have to give the recipes a run to see if I could even rely on this cookbook for my type of cooker and after reviewing, there are only a handful of them that even appeal to me. If I don't return it and I do that, I'll come back and update my review.

By Kathy I usually love Cooking Light books, magazines, etc. I was, however, a little disappointed in this book for two reasons.1. The recipes were tested on a stove-top model and 2. The recipes are created for a 6 qt. cooker. I did not know either of those things because had I known, I would've passed up the book. (Perhaps I missed the info somewhere although there were no "Search Inside" options and there was nothing noted in the descriptions or other customer comments.)...I do trust the name "Cooking Light" so much and went ahead with my purchase. For you, it might not matter, but for me, it did. Very nice recipes and photos and like other Cooking Light cookbooks, the recipes do look healthy. Might be perfect for your needs, but for me, it was a disappointment.
