Celebrate four very festive weddings with Jenny Oliver in Four Weddings and a White Christmas. Four very good reasons to fall in love under the mistletoe!

Hannah’s holidays are normally spent nibbling chocolate coins with her daughter and praying she’s not too old for a stocking on Christmas morning. But this year, she’s been offered the dressmaker’s job of a lifetime: creating a one-of-a-kind a gown for her friend Annie’s Christmas wedding on the picture-perfect Cherry Pie Island.

Many mince pies and one hot-pink organza dress later, Hannah is set to snuggle back into her old routine…until she discovers that there are three more weddings to come – and not a dress in sight!

Four themes, four brides and four parties spent avoiding chef Harry Fontaine, whose cynicism is as much a wedding day guarantee as confetti and cake. Hannah has her work cut out for her! Yet, with a sprinkling of snowflakes and Christmas magic, it could be that this is the year when miracles really do happen…if Hannah will let them.

Apparently it is the fifth book in the Cherry Pie Island series which brings the main characters from the previous four books together, but I have not read any of them and I still enjoyed this bookThe main character in the story is Hannah. She is a talented dressmaker/dsigner, who has just finished getting her degree, and is offered the chance to make Annie's Christmas wedding dress. Based on this success, she gets further commissions with weddings. Hannah's Christmases tend to be extremely busy with Christmas wedding dresses, but with the help of her family she always pulls it together. Christmas is very important to her family and they always take time to celebrate, with daughter Jemima, 5, and all the extended family around her. Harry, a chef in New York has caught her eye as well as her daughter Jemima's. It seems they might get together, but things seem to get in the way. Harry is part of a dysfunctional family led by his father, somewhat a tyrant. Due to this, he does not spend a lot of time in England. Even though Harry and Hannah are very different after several chance meetings at the various weddings of their mutual friends, they start to get under each others skin. This story does not take place over one Christmas season, but it does play an important part in bringing Hannah and Harry together. The main focus of this book is romance and weddings, and all the weddings are very different. Hannah's dresses that she designs are also very different, but when she sees the vision within, she does an amazing job. I absolutely loved Annie's kitschy themed Christmas wedding. All the characters are also very different, yet they are friends and they compliment each other. Jemima, Hannah;s daughter is only 5 years old, but tends to steal the show when she is involved in the story. She takes a real liking to Harry, and the seafood BBQ scene is very entertaining. Their interactions are laugh out loud, considering she is so young. If you enjoy romantic comedy, you must read this book. In fact, I need to go back and read the rest of this series.Thank you so much to Netgalley and Carina for this review copy. This is my honest and unbiased opinion.

Christmas Magic! :) By kelly First off, I am absolutely loving all these wonderful Christmas covers, I never knew I could get so excited about Christmas this early...that's a lie, I love Christmas, but these covers are just making me so giddy and even more excited about the holiday season! :)Jenny Oliver is one of my authors, meaning I know, no matter what I read I am going to love it! Well, Four weddings and a white Christmas was no exception, it was wonderful. I think I actually need to join a real life book club with real people, so my husband doesn't get me jumping in the doorway showing him my excited "Cheshire Cat" like grin for when I really really love a book, all while he's playing video games...oh yes, that actually happened! What can I say? This was such a sweet, fun story that I couldn't help but smile! I have loved every one of the Cherry Pie Island books and am secretly hoping there will be another!!This book, book 5 in the series, is Hannah's story! Hannah went to school with the girls from the previous stories but then disappeared for 5 years, so we don't hear much about her in the other books. She is thrown back into her friend's lives on Cherry Pie Island after she is asked to make the dress for Annie's wedding! Her dress is a success and the other girls welcome Hannah back to Cherry Pie Island with open arms. She then finds herself at 3 more weddings and slowly things start to take shape in her life. Her career, her social life and there also happens to be a rather grumpy, handsome, chef who seems to take a liking to Hannah, which adds a bit of excitement back to her love life...I love, love, loved Hannah and Harry's relationship and how things work out between them! They are so sweet with each other but it doesn't start off that way and ugh, I just...you just have to read it! Their interactions were those "Cheshire Cat" moments for me and are just magic! I love reading so much because of books and moments like these! :)This story is festive, fun, friendly and a little dose of Christmas magic! Pick it up on it's own or read the other 4 books first, I recommend you do the latter! It's so much fun revisiting old friends and seeing their lives all come together again! Get cozy, snuggle up and enjoy! :)www.sweetisalwaysinstyle.blogspot.com

By The Nest of Books Review Welcome back to Cherry Pie Island... the most delicious place to spend Christmas! This time, it is Hannah turn to tell her story. Hannah usually spends her Christmas nibbling chocolate coins, sipping a stewed tea or arguing with her sister whether they are too old for stockings on Christmas morning. But this year, she has been offered the dressmaker's dream job: creating a one-of-a-kind dress for her school friend Annie's Christmas wedding. But then one thing leads to another and Hannah discovers that there are three more weddings this winter - and not a dress in sight! Four very different weddings, four demanding bridesmaids and four parties to attend and probably avoid if she does not want to bump into a cynical chef Harry Fontaine. With a sprinkle of delicate snowflakes and a bit of Christmas magic, it could be a year when miracles do happen... If Hannah will let them.I was so excited when I heard Jenny Oliver is set to release another Cherry Pie Island book. I must admit I am yet to read the previous four book in the series. I think I've made a mistake by delving straight into the last book in the series. It felt like I've entered a room full of people who already have known each other for a while, and I was the newcomer, so it took me a bit to get acquainted with everyone. I had to catch up on a lot!Nevertheless, I genuinely enjoyed reading about the hardworking Hannah, who spent the last five years looking after her adorable daughter Jemina, getting back into the swing of things. Hannah grew into more confident, strong and feisty woman as the story progressed. I felt for Harry, even though he was grumpy and pedantic, there was more to his personality and the way he behaved towards everyone. Harry had a complicated relationship with this father, and he did not want to live his life the same way as his family apparently did for so many years. As each wedding takes place Hannah and Harry are forced to bump into each other, their relationship evolves and takes on a new meaning. There were plenty of heartwarming and funny moments throughout the book, and the highly likable characters added charm and depth to the storyline. In Four Weddings and A White Christmas, Jenny Oliver created a delightful, uplifting and feel-good book that makes you appreciate the importance of a family. So grab a copy, snuggle down in your favourite reading spot and immerse yourself in Cherry Pie Island Christmas.
