The last thing on Damian Archer’s mind is a relationship. He’s focused on running the family business and keeping up appearances. He’s fine with the way things are, until the tattooed help at a friend’s party takes one look at him and calls him on his bull. Fired from a brand new job, Fin Thornton is homeless and penniless. He knows men like Damian. He abhors men like Damian. Despite the wealthy man coming to his aid when he desperately needs it, Fin is hesitant to lower his guard. Yet Damian insists on being in Fin’s face, demanding things and offering help. In spite of their differences, something keeps them wanting each other. The same connection that has Damian desperate to stake a claim on the skittish Fin. But it will take a ghost from Fin’s tragic past to show both men that what they have is worth more than money.

First ever AA book that I've returned for a refund................SPOILERS By Roroblu'sMum I read this but sat in disbelief for a few minutes before asking for a refund under 'defective content'. Why? Because the blurb, and the author's name, implied a romance with at the very least a HFN (which she's never done) or a HEA/the start of a HEA (her staples), which the 'book' didn't deliver. And, because of the unreasonable price charged for what honestly read like the first few chapters of a longer tale that was only just getting going.I enjoy this author's works, despite the formatting issues, errors and typos, and knew going in (from her website) that this would be very different from her usual stuff - no angst, nothing heavy, but I'm not sure what happened with this one. It had no depth, and ended after a couple of BJs, and once each of them had had a go at topping. Just as a reveal was made that introduced the next tale in the series. For me, this consisted of no romance, no HFN/HEA, and a non-ending ending. There's no indication that this tale will continue in the background of book 2 in the series, so for me, it was not a complete read - which its marketing and blurb implied it was.On the plus side, I think she's employed an editor/proofer and her writing is clearer and more fluid and polished, and I only spotted one typo, so this had the potential to be a really decent read.If you read this book and it seems as if I have a missing chunk, or if it's a serialised novel, please let me know, as I am a fan and don't want to leave an unfair review, but based on what I read, this review stands.

It was another insta-love story with copious amounts of sex and a very thin, incomplete plot. It was short and would have made a better full novel, if the amount of plot had been fleshed out.

I have absolutely LOVED all of Ms Av's angsty M/M books, but a nice break is needed now and then ;)I loved this story. Sure Fin was stubborn and had too much pride (not the good kind), but Damian more than made up for it with his own brand of stubbornness. Both characters were perfect for each other. While Fin was fearful and hesitant to start anything, Damian was full steam ahead-let's get this ball rolling. It was definitely a treat watching these two men circle around each other and eventually give in to their attraction. Their conversations were hilarious and sometimes eye rolling (courtesy of Fin), but I won't lie, sometimes I just wanted to smack Fin for the headache he gave Damian. And their sex scenes? Don't even get me started! They were hot as hell!!!As for Fin's past, I could pretty much figure out what was going on - I just didn't expect the twist. And the teaser blurb? Good Lord! Can't definitely wait for more! And dare I say it Ms Av...bring on the angst! :)
