About the Author Ruth Price is a Pennsylvania native and devoted mother of four. After her youngest set off for college, she decided it was time to pursue her childhood dream to become a fiction writer. Drawing inspiration from her faith, her husband and love of her life Harold, and deep interest in Amish culture that stemmed from a childhood summer spent with her family on a Lancaster farm, Ruth began to pen the stories that had always jabbered away in her mind. 6 of 6 people found the following review helpful. Another Great Story !! By Kiki1965 Ruth Price is quickly becoming one of my favorite authors. Her books are entertaining, her characters are lovely people and I learn more about the Amish ways with each book. Amish Friendship Bread is no exception. It is a story of young men and women coming moving into adulthood and finding their soul mates and as always there is a twist. Sarah and Jebediah are fond of each other and want to begin courting. Always the gentleman and in keeping with the Amish ways Jebediah visits Sarah's father and makes arrangements to visit Sarah's home in order to assist her father with some repairs. Openly asking to court someone is not proper but visiting for other reasons - and subsequently courting one other at the same time is proper. And as per usual there is always a third person wanting to interfere. Waneta believes that she and Jebediah should be courting and is continually trying to get in between the young couple. I don't want to ruin the rest of the story for others so I will leave it at that. I was also very to glad see that the author has included the recipe for Amish Friendship Bread at the end of the book and I am looking forward to trying this recipe and sharing the batter with my friends.

Great story By Lynn Bryan If you want to learn more about the Amish ways and if you want a story with many twists, then Amish Friendship Bread is just right for you. This is about young people growing up and looking for their soulmates, but of course, there is always someone who wants to interfere. The relationship between the the two sisters Fannie and Waneta was very interesting and compelling - great story overall.
