7 of 7 people found the following review helpful. Very good but needs a bit more editing. By Jazzycat This was really a very good story and I've enjoyed M. E. Tudor's books but I'm giving it 3 stars because it could have used a few more pass throughs with the editor. Normally it doesn't bother me when a story has a few errors here and there but there were more than just a few which surprised me because her other books weren't like this. With that being said I totally recommend reading this book but just be prepared to fill in words that are missing and remove words that shouldn't be there.

MSNBC's Rachel Maddow did a series of pieces about 5 years ago and I cried and then threw things. I loved this story because Jodie NEVER gave up. As an atheist the whole faith christian mantra is difficult for me to accept. I saw a strong women who had faith in herself because of the love she had for her son. Someone said in a review that this was not a story about a lesbian relationship, but it was. Katlyn and Jodie`s story was of a journey with a fork and a merge in the road. Toward the end it was Catherine and Elizabeths turn to merge after many rough miles. Someone said it was predictable. If they meant it was predictable because something was going to happen, then I agree, but so what. I suspected the 3 guys were involved, I suspected the minister (but I suspect all ministers, lol). My point is, the story led you and some have stronger intuition, it does not take away from the story. Read this with an open mind please.

After being embarrassed, humiliated and then raped at her church, Jodi Nelson start a life on her own. Three years later, her parents shows up at her doorstep demanding first visitation and then custody of her son. At the custody hearing, the identity of one of rapist was revealed as well as the true motivation behind the rape. I was hoping for a little more from Jodie's parents and there wasn't much of a mystery as to....well, I don't want to give anything away. Definitely worth reading.
