She's a foodie and loves to entertain, so I thought a cookbook would be a no-brainer. The problem is that for most cookbooks, she would need a fully stocked kitchen with spices that I've never even heard of to make most of the recipes. Then I found Lemon & Salt. All of the recipes are simple, approachable, and delicious. (I tried the pulled pork recipe in the tailgating chapter and it was so good, I bought a copy for myself). My sister is going to love it and the best part is that I now have the PERFECT go-to gift for mother's day, birthdays, weddings, you name it.

Ashton's recipes are ACTUALLY easy and delicious By Mackie Healy As a New Yorker who loathes prepping and cleaning in a tiny kitchen, I'd given up on the idea of weeknight meals at home. A lot of cookbooks claim to be friendly to amateur cooks, but have so many elaborate ingredients and complicated instructions. Ashton's recipes are ACTUALLY easy and delicious. The One Pan Chicken is my go-to favorite!

The recipes are so do-able, photos are helpful and beautiful, and most importantly the food is delicious. A few of my favorites- Whole Roasted Cauliflower, Date Night Carbonara, Shrimp and Grits, Smashed Potatoes with Blue Cheese Butter, and Best Beef Bolognese.
