The Parable of the Prodigal Son is meant to display the Father's character. Our lives are meant to reflect the same truths. Prodigal means extravagant. In our struggles, we can be extravagantly wasteful of God's gift to us of relationship with Him. But the hope of the Christian life is that He doesn't let us stay there. His compassion is active. He meets us on our way back to Him. As we learned more and more to walk in obedience,we are able to share His extravagant generosity with others.

By Josh Hahne Prodigal Confessions is a meditation on the gospel as explained in Jesus’ famous parable, “The Prodigal Son.” Lafont’s writing is devotional, warm, and insightful. She has a rare gift of being able to state truths in a way that both illumines and inspires. If you want to consider the gospel more carefully—as well as its implications for a real life with God—I heartily commend this book to you.

The author has done a wonderful job at presenting ten principles that reveal how we adapt prodigal child thinking and behavior. She offers solutions, questions to think about and Scripture throughout the text to make her message complete and profound! One of the best books I've read this year! I will be recommending this to my family and friends!

Reconciliation By Jodi Tinker "Obeying, following, yielding to God is crucial to our sanctification, our gradual, growing righteousness, our increasing holiness." It seems so simple and basic but the practical working out of the sanctification process is anything but as our selfish desires get in the way time and time again. Using the Parable of the Prodigal Son, the author demonstrates how the cycle of sin, confession and reconciliation permeates every relationship we have. Through personal stories, the author shares ways to practically apply biblical truths to live in reconciliation with God and others. I thoroughly enjoyed this book and highly recommend it.
