I mean, I've had lots of experience brewing beer and I know that the smallest thing can ruin an entire batch (and I've thrown away enough bad batches to know it's anything but easy). But for the price of a cup of coffee, I figured I'd give this book a chance (the picture on the cover of the delicious looking, sparkling glass of cider made me thirsty enough to take the plunge). Rufus Creech wasn't kidding when he said this was the easy way! No special equipment, grocery store apple juice, and a little ale yeast (I did have to make a special trip to the home brewing store for that - but I could have picked it up on Amazon without leaving my living room). I loved the homey, conversational tone that Creech uses when explaining the process. I felt like I was standing next to him in his kitchen while he casually prepared a batch of cider. Easy? That's an understatement! Following Creech's method, the whole process took less than an hour. Now the hard part - waiting for that delicious sparkling glass of cider. My first batch is still brewing so I can't tell you how it tastes, yet (I will write a follow-up review after enjoying my first glass). But if you have ever wanted to try your hand at home-brewing, there's never been an easier way to get started. So, do yourself a favor and grab a copy of this book and start brewing!
