About the Author Jay Carper lives with his wife and son in Brenham, Texas, where they are part of a small community of Torah-observant believers. His parents have been involved in ministry with the Assemblies of God and other organizations since before he was old enough to know it, and he inherited their love of the Bible and its Author. He believes that a person can only obtain eternal salvation through faith in the grace of God which was made manifest in the death and resurrection of Jesus. While searching for a deeper understanding of God’s love for His people, Jay began exploring God’s Law and the Hebraic roots of the Christian faith in the 1990s and has been an active participant in Torah-observant congregations since 2001.

Jay has been able to take ancient practices and use them to breathe life back into several areas of existence that are in such need of revitalization today. In a culture where the family unit is struggling, relationships with God are distant, and ones identity is so prevalently lost these simple prayers create a reconnection with all three. As one who consistently works with the destruction of divorce, absentee parenting, and addiction issues I found this book to be a simple way to guide people back into a connection with the source of what is truly important. Speaking God’s words back to him and teaching others to do the same retrains the thought patterns and belief systems. God is not moved by emotion but by His word. Allowing individuals the honor of stepping into that in a structured way truly is a source of restoration that the community, country and church are in desperate need of. I recommend this book to any person or family who is looking to understand and experience a better connection to the Source of all existence, their creator.
