About the Author Sarah Floyd lives on the side of a mountain in Vermont with her husband, baby son, and Australian Shepherd dog. It took her more than fifteen years of dreaming to get to Vermont, but she finally made it. Mrs. Floyd holds degrees in Spanish and secondary education and previously worked as a teacher in the United States and South Korea. She has been writing fiction since she was a child, but this is her first published novel. Mrs. Floyd enjoys writing inspirational fiction and poetry, reading, foreign languages, European travel, waterfalls, covered bridges, colorful fabric, and macaroni and cheese.

All of those years of your dreaming of living in Vermont, including our one-and-only family vacation there, and then you finally did it. (Thanks, Jason.) After years of hand-writing your "stories" that grew into novelettes in your spiral notebooks when you were a pre-teen and teenager, now you have published your first one. I am confident that you have just made the world a better place by sharing your faith and your God-given talent by sharing your characters and their stories. There are many ways to do that, and you have chosen a beautiful path to take. I hope many people give themselves a brighter day and a lovely perspective by reading your stories.

I know a book is good when I finish the novel and immediately begin to miss the characters. I loved the moral: to find yourself, you must first find God - what an impactful message that was learned through the eyes of a young woman's story. Seeing Joy grow throughout the story while seeking to put God first in her life is an experience that resonates with all Christians and with those trying to find Christ. Definitely a must-read!
