By Book Loving Fairy Rating: 4 Stars!Cade Hadley had his heart broken three years ago by Bailey Cooper when she unexpectedly left town. After she left, the truth came out about why the Coopers really picked up and moved. Bailey's father had been a criminal, stealing and embezzling from the wealthy families of the small Georgia town Cade calls home. Now she's back and her motives are questionable.Bailey Cooper's life has fallen apart, she's broke, her criminal father has killed himself, and her mother has completely checked out. She comes back to Georgia to try to make a life for herself and her mother. She takes a job at a sleazy bar and also works to earn her cosmetology license, all the while determined to payback Cade and rebuild her reputation.The storyline takes place over the course of many months, but it doesn't feel dragged out. My heart broke for both Cade and Bailey as they tried to pick up the pieces, but soon realized they couldn't just go back to the way they were before. I loved Bailey's attitude of not wanting anymore handouts and wanting to feel the accomplishment of doing it on her own. While I understood why she told her mother certain things, it also frustrated me that she wasn't just honest. The coming together and then breaking apart did get a bit tedious after a while, but I guess it was needed.The cast of characters in this book were great! I adored BB and loved how everyone embraced who he was.I will say that while I really loved this book, the plot and storyline were a little too similar to the first book in the series Colton. That being said, I loved Colton so I guess you go with what works. I highly recommend reading Colton first, just so you can get a feel for the characters, but it's not necessary.Overall, great story! Can't wait for Caroline's book!~ Renee

They both have their issues with the family name and what goes with it.Cade thought he had life all figured out, thought he knew who he would end up with and where he was going, then she blew it all apart. Now taht she's back in town, Cade isn't quite sure how to feel, but he knows one thing, he can't control his feelings for her.Bailey was Stubborn, and she had really good intentions, but they overrode the simple detail, Cade loved her for her, nothing else. She also did her part in keeping her head up even when she wanted to hide away. She went through a lot and nobody really understood because it was hard for her to admit to it all. She was so loyal to her mother, and she wanted to be able to stand on her own and didn't want to accept help from anyone, but most especially not Cade.My favorite thing about the Hadley boys so far is how deep they dig in, they don't run when things get tough, they dig deeper and try to find the way out. Cade couldn't stay away from Bailey, but he didn't want to give in until he go to the heart of her and understood her motives.I felt bad for Bailey, she was dealt a really crappy hand and only tried to do things right. She didn't do things the way she did them to be malicious, she just didn't want anything between them. Though sometimes I found myself wanting to yell at her to just talk to Cade and get it all out.Cade was another wonderful story of love conquering. Another glimpse into the way life changes and works itself out when you finally start to settle down and figure it out.
0 of 0 people found the following review helpful. Stubborn annoying Heroine. SPOILERS: By Barnes15TX I really liked the first book in this series but the heroine in this book is really frustrating. I liked the character Cade a lot I just thought he was strung along a lot in the book. Bailey (the heroine) needed to do everything by herself and her deadbeat Mom wasn't any help. I felt like Bailey created her own problems but not accepting help when she needed it time after time after time. I swear everything that could go wrong for this girl did. It was really annoying. After a whole book of her fighting to stay on her own two feet I felt like she eventually succumb to help from Cade anyway. I felt that Cade had to suffer because of Bailey's stubbornness and stupidity. It has an HEA but is short. I wish more good things happened for the characters. This book put me in a bad mood for the rest of my day. :( I don't recommend it. I do feel like it was well written and I like the author's other books.
