She refers to herself as the “ingredient substitution queen” of the kitchen, where she is always coming up with new recipe modifications to fit her dietary needs. Fogarty So you found yourself having some inflammation- and you have no idea how to make anything for dinner now or for breakfast for that matter with out worrying it will cause you discomfort. Did you just go soy-free, dairy-free, nut-free or gluten free? Whether you decided to go allergy free or your health decided for you....this is the best starting spot for you. The author takes you on her person journey of how she was sick, struggled with meal planning and wanted to produce meals that were not boring or bland, so what did she do- she experimented and came up with Substitutions for things you may usually add to a meal but can't now do due to an immune issue or a allergy issue.Susan put it all in a book with recipes and shared it with you. It's time to start living Allergy FREE.....

By BrettMC7 If you have either been diagnosed with a food allergy or would like to avoid gluten or other allergens, this is a must have book! Starting with Susan's life journey with food allergies and all she learned along the way to practically every food/ingredient substitute under the sun. A very thorough and thoughtful knowledge-share of what any allergy-free cook would need to know in the kitchen. From how these new ingredients behave in recipes, to the most effective kitchen equipment to posses and tips on how to best use it. To top it all off, she has included dozens of her own tested tasty recipes, allowing the reader to get started on the path to allergy free food immediately. Thus allowing the reader to truly love their food once again!

An Indispensible Resource for Every Allergy-Sensitive Kitchen By Lucy Similar to the author, I suffer from multiple food allergies as do my family members. I enjoyed reading her personal story and could relate to the challenges of living with a restricted diet and finding ways to substitute allergens in many recipes. this book gave me a lof of new ideas for substitutions that I hadn't thought of trying before. I consider this an invaluable resource to have at my disposal. It would make a great gift for family and friends who are transitioning to an allergy-free diet as well as for those who like to experiment with healthy or unusual ingredients into their recipes. There is also a lot of helpful general information here. This book is a good investment.
