Let me preface this book by saying that any prayer to Jesus leading to God is a good prayer just as a baby does whatever necessary (crying, tugging, crawling) to gain it’s parent’s attention is good and effective. However, just as a baby eventually grows into maturity and order, the Christ–follower, regardless of how they begin praying, needs to grow into knowledge of more mature prayer according to Jesus. This book is for the Kingdom-minded person desiring to pray according to the Kingdom of God instead of according to the fleshly desires. We must understand that there is a distinct difference between asking in prayer and decreeing God’s promises with authority and praise. Decreeing is not the same as praying. Praying, as I see it, is simply constant communion with God; it’s keeping an open line of communication with God at all times in all things. Praying can be asking, praising, weeping, etc. This is the “praying without ceasing” – constant communication with Jesus. Declaring (decreeing) is strategically different. Both have to do with communication, but declaring is actually not talking to God but rather applying God’s authority given us through His Son into any situation. A kingdom ambassador does not check with the king when he goes to another country or kingdom on behalf of the king. He’s given the king’s authority to speak and act as if he were the king himself. Here's why Breakfast has become my favorite breakfast cookbook--out of twenty-five years worth of breakfast cookbooks--in just four weeks. The pancakes are the best I've ever made, which might have something to do with vanilla, or something to do with turbinado sugar, or something more ephemeral. The grits turn my little Brooklyn kitchen into a sprawling space on a Southern farm. The French toast are great. Even my eggs are better. And that's the point--I've cooked all these things all my adult life, and this lovely, clean and clear cookbook has made them all better. I don't quite know how the authors have managed this trick--I mean, better Eggs? Really?--but I'm glad they have. In fact, my whole family is glad.

Breakfast: Recipes to Wake up For distills breakfast preparation to its essence. It has everything you need know to make the perfect morning meal. The book is a joy to hold and to behold. It contains warm photographs, heartwarming stories and welcoming recipes. If I were to have only one breakfast cookbook, this gem would be it.

All the recipes in here that I've tried are wonderful, the photography is great, and the writing is very evocative - this is food that is delicious, nostalgic, and not at all precious. The pancakes are my favorite recipe so far. This is a must-have for serious fans of breakfast.

Tiger Lovin' By WickedKarma 3.5Received an ARC in exchange for an honest review.It's always a good day when I receive the email that a new CK ARC is available, it's an even better day when it turns out that it's for a longer story than her usual quickie reads.Ares and Zoe are a great couple and it's a story filled with the usual humor and hot sex. We're inundated with wolf shifter romances and I like seeing tigers getting their due. The only reason this wasn't a 4 star read for me was that I didn't like that we got dropped into the story mid-romance. I kind of missed being a part of their first meeting and connection, and it was hard at first to jump on he Zoe and Ares bandwagon when the book starts off with betrayal. Also for some inexplainable reason I hated that the Alpha female is referred to as the "Alpha fem"...I don't know if it's because every time I saw the term I thought of "fem dom" but it doesn't work for me. *shrug* Minor pet peeves all things considered. I read the book cover to cover in one sitting so obviously it wasn't that distracting. So if you're in the mood for some Tiger love check this out. I also developed a lot of interest in some of the secondary characters and I'm beyond pleased that Ronnie's book is up next. As the wolf best friend of Zoe, and woman who brought most of the humor I can't wait to see how a mating goes down between her and a tiger :)

They hooked me from the beginning and I couldn't wait to find out what was going on. "Zoe" told the world that Tigers exist and how to mate them, without their consent, and so Zoe and Ares had a falling out when the story hit. Ares is trying to figure out how to help his people the best and deal with coming out as a species and keep his Tigers safe from forced mating. Zoe is dealing with the reprecussions as well since she did not actually write the article or want it to get out. After a couple of days she is back in town to try and explain to Ares what actually happened. Ares is trying to hold onto his anger because that's how he was dealing with the situation regarding Zoe when it all started but once he sees and hears her, anger is no longer the top emotion and he no longer wants to deny that she is his mate. Already Zoe is showing alpha fem tendencies even though they have not fully mated which is shocking for Ares but very much needed by the Pride. Zoe's presence helps to calm and connect with the Tigers as they try and stay safe from the tail pulling humans that have invaded.The sex is explicit and very hot between the two characters but their emotions are fully engaged. I loved the way that this story was set up and the way that it flowed. The story line was great and had me captivated and just wanting to know more. I am not ready to leave this world that Celia Kyle has created and can't wait for more of the Pride's stories, especially Claire's! All of the characters were great and I love the connections that I can just imagine coming. This is a great start to a great series!!

The characters are charming and incredible!. You will fall in love with these Tiger shifters!. This story is Sweet,funny and suspenseful!.Zoe is a reporter which gets her into some trouble. Her best friend Ronnie who is a wolf shifter tells her about these little towns in the mountains so Zoe takes a couple weeks off to rest and relax. She ends up in Wilder where she meets a sexy Man named Ares. Right before her two weeks is up she happens to see Ares shift into his Tiger form, and takes some pictures with her phone. She sends them to her Bff Ronnie only she did not know her Editor monitors her phone, and took her texts and pictures to run a story on the Tigers. The tigers had not come out yet like other shifters. One thing in their texts that grabbed the Editor is if you catch a Tiger by its tail the shifter will be your mate forever. So that was the head line for the Article. When Zoe got back home she did not know what her Editor did till she sees the paper. She knows this will cause problems for Ares and his group this up sets her as she fell in love with him!. Zoe heads back to Wilder and is shocked when she sees all the Humans mostly women who have invaded the town!. Zoe just hopes Ares does not hate her now ,and will believe it was not her fault that her Editor did this. Oh there was one thing Ares did not tell Zoe is when they had sex it started a bonding between them to make her his mate!. Wow there are lots of surprises and suspense in this humorous sweet Romance! This is a must read 5-star plus plus book!

Hawkins I have tried to make sure that what I am about to say truly reflects the views of the authors, Tim Alleman and S. Tellez. Having asked Tellez my primary question about the place of Grace in their theology, I can say that it does. In the view of the authors, Grace as taught by the Bible and the Church is a false premise, causing a perversion of God's legal judgment. Since Jesus was blameless (just), it is a perversion of truth to say that His death for the guilty (unjust) was a just judgment, thereby making God unjust. That's the central point of their argument, and it is as false as its foundational assumptions. The most egregious of of their assumptions is that God thinks as we do; He does not. The Bible teaches that His thoughts are higher than our thoughts. (Isa. 55: 8, 9) (I would suggest reading the entirety of Isaiah, but failing that, read all of Chapter 55.) The authors make the same mistake that the ancients made with their many gods, i.e., that the gods are made in our image. (Hosea 11: 9; 1Pet. 3-9, 17-21; 2 Pet. 1:16-21; 2: 1-9.) Another problem in thinking that Jesus Christ's atonement for our sins makes God unjust is the assumption that Jesus was some kind of just man, blameless, but not God. (John 1:1-18; 3:11-21; 14:1-21; Matt. 26:62-66.) How could Jesus be the Holy God and even consider dying for the unjust? (He really does not think like we do.) Another problem in their reasoning stems from hubris: they are wise in their own eyes, thinking their reasoning cannot be other than sound. Their logic has only one problem: it is built on a false foundation. It is true that if you take the Bible out of context, you can make it support almost anything (I would suggest that you read the full context of these citations). In Matthew's gospel, Jesus speaks about how to know false prophets (I do not use the term lightly), "You will know them by their fruits." (Matt. 7:15 ff) I find their arguments with those who disagree with them, especially online, to exhibit a degree of outright hostility and defensive anger that is at best inconsistent with Christian principles, at worst, is meant to intimidate not illuminate. I bought a copy of their book in good faith; I feel that in good faith I must repudiate it now.

Without being called a blasphemer or just an idiot. Most books "revealing" Gods' true standards, simply continue to play on the Fantasys that the church teaches. The Principled Legal Standard requires you to pay attention, you can't just speed read. I love God, I love his Law, I follow, I love Jesus Christ, the Son of God. This book cuts through the distortion of which man & satan created in The Bible. And exposes ALL lies. We're warned of the Great Deception.

There were so many things I was confused about before that my old churches taught me, and now everything makes sense. I highly recommend this book :)

By SandrasKitchenNook I've had a few pizza books, and I was really expecting more of the same; a smallish book with a couple dozen or so pizza recipes with a little miscellaneous history or information thrown in. Boy, was I wrong! There is history from Italy starting at Naples and moving throughout the country with many pizzerias highlighted before heading to the States with chapters on New York, Chicago/Phoenix and California.There is an entire section dedicated to Ingredients and Equipment and it is a jewel! Flour; so much information about one simple ingredient! Did you know that durum wheat is used for Neapolitan pizza, but 00 is better for most other pizzas? Tomatoes, cheese, olive oil, cured meats and basil are covered under ingredients, while baking stones, pizza peels, pizza wheels, electric mixers or food processors, knives and so much more are covered under equipment.Now we come to page 181--recipes!! Six dough recipes are followed by three sauce recipes before getting to the "good stuff". There is such a great variety of recipes here; something for everyone. There's even a couple of desserts at the end. Nutella Alla Spacca Napoli is not to be missed! My favorite pizza would probably be the Pizza Quattro Formaggi, though I would trade out a couple of the cheeses to make it closer to the amazing Quattro Formaggi I had in Sicily! I would substitute Emmental for the Gorgonzola piccante, and Primo Sale (a young pecorino cheese) or Pecorino Toscana for the Parmigiano-Reggiano. That is just me, though.This is a truly lovely cookbook that I thoroughly enjoyed and am happy to highly recommend. By Marcy Goldman I really am enjoying this book for its friendly narrative and 'just enough' recipes that cover the gamut of the pizza dough styles I love and can't wait to try. A friendly, approachable, knowledgeable book with tons of 'voice' (author character) and charm that makes you want leave your day job and just test out new pizzas (wait, that is my day job; I am a cookbook author/baker...and still - this book inspires me anew)

Beautiful Pictures, Interesting Narratives and Good Formulas, but an Important Omission By Matt Morgan Over the last several years I have been working at improving my pizza-making skills and I have tried a number of formulas for crust, sauce, cheese combinations, toppings and cooking methods and while I am pleased with my progress I am always looking for more techniques. I also have been looking for knowledge – not just the “how” but also the “when”, “where” and “why”. I found this book here on Amazon and I asked my wife for a copy for Christmas and she graciously bought it for me. It is an interesting book filled with stories, pictures, helpful hints and formulas.The authors start off with a guided tour of the major locations and players in pizza, starting with Naples, Italy and then covering a number of other Italian styles including Roman. Sicilian is included in the Italian grouping. From there, we get a tour of the most popular American styles and/or locales – Chicago, California and New York, with Phoenix, AZ included for good measure. What really disappoints me is that New Haven in particular as well as Detroit and St. Louis styles are omitted. The majority of pizza books I have seen cover New Haven style so I regard this as a serious omission, whereas Detroit and St. Louis styles are less common (for now) so omitting them is less important.Each style gets a story, often centered around an individual who champions a specific pizza type. Sometimes the focus is the location itself. Regardless of the focus, each gets a page or two of narrative as well as some beautiful pictures. In a few cases, the locale itself is the centerpiece and the write-up included focuses on what makes that location special.The next sections cover ingredients and equipment. These are more lengthy than the coverage of styles. I like the narratives, though I find that some of the information is a little simplistic and targeted more towards the beginner or casual pizza maker. It's a good start, of course, but I was hoping for even more detail and argument.Finally, two thirds of the way through the book we reach the recipes and formulas. There are exactly six dough recipes and two sauce recipes. This might not seem like a lot, but this is actually enough to generate a collection of 50-60 recipes for individual pizzas. I am particularly pleased with the dough recipes as they are not quick doughs you throw together and use in 30 minutes but rather these are like a hybrid between slow-rise and fast doughs. The doughs are wet and require more gentle handling and this usually leads to a more airy, crisper crust in my opinion. This past weekend I decided to try the New York Sicilian Dough, and it worked out better than I expected, being very similar to focaccia dough in handling and consistency. I will make this one again.I have not yet tried the individual pizzas in the recipe section but there are a lot of good ideas in there. Even if you do not choose to make any of them, there are some great inspirations for making your own. The majority have gorgeous, full-color pictures.This is a good book on pizza and will give you a good running start if you are just starting into making your own pizza or if you want to learn more about the different styles, techniques and general lore. It falls a little short on coverage, though, and my issue with it is not what's there but rather what isn't. It's still a valuable book as much for reference as it is for production.
